BP1960
He is prepared to shoot. As is Erwin, so play both - 3 up front with Holloway.

Andy Perimeter West
Another 3 points closer to safety... Obadeyi and Erwin? I'll take it. nzlatic
Thought it was a decent first half, both sides having chances (theirs better). But 2nd half we were poor, we retreated into our own half for most of it and resorted to trying the long ball counter attack. Unfortunately on the odd occasion we got an attack going, we were very slow to support it. The chance just before their goal and the pressure after it showed they were vulnerable if put under pressure, like they were in the first half. But we came out after half time playing for the 1-0. Thought Holloway was excellent for the whole 90 minutes. If he had support in numbers with pace then his forward play will earn us a lot of goals. He was heavily marked all game and still consistently found the space to bring others in. Shame we don't seem to have anyone else capable of doing the same to supply him. The rest are far too conservative. Amazing finish to the game though and showed our resilience. And it more than made up for my only other game this season - MK Dons away. simplythemostimportantkick
You won't get that with Holloway. No your right he's not one of our own. I wouldn't care if he didn't score a single goal all season, his game is so much more than that

Latics Player said O'Neill dropped too deep in the 2nd half handing the initiative to Northampton. He's young though so will learn as time goes on. BP1960
Another goalless game from Holloway, how long can Sheridan persist with him? One of the first names in the team sheet, goals will come from others if they support him. He will chip in now and again IMO.

He can't just keep living off his Chesterfield assist can he ?
BP1960
How long can we wait though? With good coaching not long, the lad is a fine prospect. Edited March 1, 2017 by BP1960

I would have expected Taylor to have had some top notch coaching after his championship stint. But he's gash isn't he.

Holloway was getting rough treatment from the Northampton back 4 just holding the ball up and IMO O'Neill was the MOTM very busy and effective he did drop back a bit so did most of them then they all got a second wind. Erwin could be the answer to our lack of goals looked like he was bang up for it

tringerlatic42
Fantastic Result- joy to see two strikers scoring- Delighted to see Erwin get a great strike and hope it does wonders for his confidence. Banks for me was tremendous and glad Shez acknowledged his contribution. It is still going to be tough ride yet but the spirit of the side is there for all to see.. Come on Oldham! Nohairdontcare
Looking at the highlights, after the winner it looks like the players are more keen to go to the crowd than the goal scorer... trouble at mill?
