All 92 English League Teams In Competitive Games

Recommended Posts

I was just reading the below article about teams who have played all 92 league or ex league teams in a competitive fixture.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/aug/11/has-any-club-faced-all-92-english-league-teams-in-competitive-games

It says that once they play Sutton United, ""precisely four – Bradford City, Northampton, Port Vale and Swindon – will be able to claim the full set"

Who have we not played? have we not played all of the following? http://www.doingthe92.com/alphabetical.asp

you could sort of argue it's Accrington as they went up when we went down and they are a different club to the one that went out of business.  Can't see how it could be anyone else

....and, when you check the Sutton fixture list, we will be the first of the teams mentioned to play them.....so, in other words, Oldham will become the first team to have played every one of the other teams in the league in a competitive fixture

Perhaps a bit of publicity for the club to be had over the August Bank Holiday

There was a piece in The Times not long ago that said the letter 'O' was one of the few unrepresented initials of clubs who had played in the Premier. It then added insult to injury by saying that Oxford had been in the top flight on pre Premier days.
