  1. If that's all anyone was willing to pay, we might as well take a chance on him getting even better and someone else offering more in the summer! He is 21 years old. Suppose £150k is massive for us because we've not really had any lucrative cup runs or tv appearances for ages.....oh wait....
  2. Like Harry Bunn, Rusnak, Rene Steer....the list could go on! How many Premier League youth teamers have we actually had who turned out to be any good? Majority on massive wages compared to rest of our squad and come with a can't be bothered attitude. JPK will be on very low wages and will know that at 24, his chances of being a professional league player are getting slimmer and slimmer. Point to prove!
  3. Agree with this 100%.....i'm sick of players going off, ball being booted back to Oxley and before we get the ball back in their half, the player who had a major injury is back on in position fresh as a daisy....killing any momentum we had going forward!
  4. I would fully expect to see Dayton benched on Saturday with Worrall getting his place back
  5. We should just use it ourselves when we are under pressure. Kill the oppositions momentum like they did with us on numerous occasions tonight. I agree that it's out of order but if everyone else does it, let's have some of it ourselves!
  6. Best thing for me was him winning the ball back at the corner flag at RRE, cheeky nutmeg past the guy, then skinning two more without it looking like he was even trying. Made it look so so simple!
  7. Born in Swindon...closer to family and lets not forget the much bigger wage they can probably offer
  8. Whilst he's been out, I've read a lot of people saying that we are missing Dayton, especially after the Montano situation and whatever is going on with Sidney. Now he's back playing, he is only in because of his 'Mate' switching our system? Really?
  9. Aside from a couple of individual errors (Plummer v Col U, Brown v Shrews) and 2 beauties (Baxter & Baker) we have generally looked pretty solid at the back, hence why we have only lost by 2 goals twice this season. If we had someone who could be clinical in front of goal consistently we would have won comfortably yesterday and probably taken 3 points at Cov and Sheff Utd... Goals win games, simple! Get another forward in!
  10. That was the worst performance i've seen this season. And Plummer is just awful! What a :censored:e day!
  11. JCH apologised on Facebook last night for that. I never even noticed it
  12. Something that has been bothering me for a while is the ease at which teams seem to get crosses into the box pretty much unchallenged. Just seen the "Highlights" on Football League Show and Saunders was able to get the ball out of his feet, set himself and then put the cross in without anyone even trying to get near him. Think it was Sidney who put a half arsed leg out as it went past him. I think we are going in the right direction in general and first loss in 10, cut out the little errors and we are more than capable of going on another decent unbeaten run, hopefully starting Tuesday!
  13. Hereford for me is the worst one I've ever been at as far as I can remember...the 5-1 at Bristol City on a Tuesday night (Talbot's last game I think) was pretty dire but once Branston Pickle popped in an own goal I just found it amusing
  14. Seeing it again just annoys me even more. Unbelievable decision, or lack of one!
  15. Was sat in the Chaddy End and I'd probably go as far as to say that it was on a par with that penalty we should have had at Tranmere last year. The guy was practically sat on his arse and blatantly stuck his arm up...lino had a perfect view of it, baffled. How do these officials stay in a job?
  16. Robbing bastards...charging us a fiver more than trannies and swindon for their games either side of christmas
  17. What allocation have Bradford been given? Large section of RRE?
  18. Matt O'Halloran, the reason I turned up to PE at school the following Monday with new White Adidas football boots, the same as he wore ;)
  19. Mark Allott's volley away at Hudds few years back....also, Johnny Eyre's late goal at home to QPR in 03/04 (Revenge for the previous May)...I have only been watching Latics since 1997/98
  20. We should at least be requesting it, given that 2 of them have started or played some part in our last 3 or 4 games.
  21. Someone that would get us something similar to when we went to Thurrock. Crappy little place, moved to a silly early Sunday kick off for the tele!
  22. Interesting quote from Dayton here! How is this ref still in a job if this is actually his view of the situation? http://www.oldham-chronicle.co.uk/news-features/10/oldham-athletic-news/82165/its-ref-justice-for-latics
  23. As good as he is, I really don't think you can change the 11 that got us into that winning position unless it's an enforced change which is a possibility at RB depending on how serious Brown's injury is. Start with the same 11 if possible next week and then see how the game pans out! Think we could batter Trannies next week....or get beat 1-0, never know with Latics!
  24. I'd like to think so. If a player isn't performing, for whatever reason I'd expect LJ to take the necessary action. I don't think any player will be guaranteed a starting place just because of who they are.
