  1. Magnificent effort one and all! Long trip even for us Londoners! See you there tomorrow....
  2. Who knows eyresy....but he would need to more than treble the number of non season ticket holding supporters attending just to break even. I just hope he's got enough cash to get us through the summer.....
  3. Just my opinion based on what I've read and seen to date. If you have any opinions you can share in support of his financial acumen, or in support of the way he manages the club then feel free to do so!
  4. Until you see this in black and white then I wouldn't trust a word he says.....
  5. Your missing the point somewhat. It's not what he's doing it's why he's doing it! He's an egotistical prick who seems to just want to be perceived as "the big man" within the circles he mixes in. He's made numberous rash, nonsensical commercial decisions demonstrating this which have negatively effected our club. If you can't see this is just another attempted smokescreen to win over a few fans short term then your deluded!
  6. So it's a fiver a ticket for the last game of the season against Northampton. Whilst I applaud AL for the sentiment and efforts to create a better atmosphere if we need a win I'm a bit confused over his decision making precess. IF we still have a chance of gatecrashing the playoffs, then surely a bumper crowd would attend anyway and if he hasn't a pot to piss in then why reduce much needed match income at this point by so much? Surely it makes more sense to wait until after the weekend, and make a call then. If results go against us then sure reduce prices to try and finish the season on a high.... If we win then maybe reduce prices to a tenner and a fiver for kids if he wants to ... Still attract some floating fans but double your income. My view is its probably another feeble attempt to try and get some credibility back with the fans... Short term as usual with no long term planning. I'm sure we will need every penny we can get to keep things going over the summer. However maybe I'm wrong and he is genuinely trying to build a few bridges? Whatever he's still a knob and seems to have little business acumen.
  7. Back on topic I can't help but think we have missed a trick today with Sky being around and not openly showing our dissatisfaction in the way AL is running the club. Granted any protest needs a coordinator and full backing from supporters which I'm not sure we have, but surely there is enough local supporters to have sorted something out and at least get the Sky pundits talking about it. Could have been anything really at some point during the game.... Even during HT so not to affect the players too much. Prob won't get such an opportunity again
  8. Yep remember that well and the chaos after the game with the tube shut! Seem to also remember winning 2-1 at Derby's new ground the round before, with Clyde Wijnyard scoring an injury time late winner!! Great days....
  9. Fair enough it's your call. If the trust is not the answer then I'm genuinely interested in your views of what is? However if there's only 300 signed up Trust members as Andy says, it's not surprising AL appears to be quite dismissive at times of the Trusts voice. If it had 3000 members then I'm sure he would feel more threatened and have to take the views of the supporters via the Trust more seriously.
  10. This. Saints away 1990 league Cup QF. We were packed in like sardines and hundreds were locked out! https://youtu.be/uCN4dnpGQRQ
  11. I've joined the Trust this week and urge as many fans as possible to do the same. Like it or not it's the best vehicle we have to communicate with the owner. Huge respect to Andy and the rest of the trust team for making the effort in what is unpaid and voluntery. Out of interest Andy how many trust members are there currently?
  12. Only just about makes it as an ex player that one Sinnott.....!!
  13. 2 0 again for me....Lang and Clarke scoring and Wellens sent off for being a dick!
  14. Wont be discussing ours as AL hasn't released them yet!!
  15. IMO been easily our most consistent performer in an otherwise very inconsistent season!
  16. Very rarely I agree with you but in this case you are correct. No ground or other significant assets puts us in dire position without a benefactor. Sad thing is unless this changes or the ground is bought back, the threat of liquidation is always there
  17. So you have some concrete evidence staff have not been paid oafcmetty?
  18. We must be at our lowest league position for around 50 years at the moment. Fucking 16th in the 4th tier. Not sure on exactly when we were lower than this, but I think about 1969 we were prety close to the bottom of the old 4th division....Singe can probably confirm! Point I'm making is we recovered from this under Jimmy Friz, so hopefully in time we can recover again. I know it's difficult to get your head around how we can do this at the moment with such a dick in charge, but with our fans passion and commitment I'm confident we will. It may be in 2,5,10 years time but we will. Just keep the faith, stick by the club despite the owner as he will not be around forever and let's make sure we have a club to rebuild when he eventually fucks off.
  19. Chris Moore prior to that is where it all began. For those that remember we were in administration and hours from liquidating. It's been a one way downhill street since then with Courney and crew then AL continually fucking up manager appointments. Just hope PW can bring some stability in results to the club this season and then see where the ground purchase and new manager appointment leaves us come August.
  20. It's a very valid point Adam. It really is a catch 22 situation. Living in London a season ticket is unfortunstely not a consideration for me. But from what I can see AL does what he wants, and pays who he wants when he wants. I fear for the staff and working conditions within the club with a vastly reduced income stream, particularly over the summer months when we rely so heavily in season ticket income to keep things going. No income = no wages etc. Unfortunately I think Administration is inevitable now before next season starts and then who knows what will happen and where we will end up. It's gonna get a whole worse before things improve I think but I firmly believe like many now is the time to make a stand and we live with the consequences.
  21. Decent shout....recon this was the rod that broke the camels back
  22. So start the clown mask/face protest from Saturday?
  23. Genius idea Wardie. Pretty cheep and would get the point accross on TV. If you can't get a mask a bit of make up and a red nose from comic relief will do the job. I'm sure all the news channels would also pick up on it and how humiliated would AL be with 5000 clowns in the ground!!! He may even fuck off and let us pick up the pieces
