If they don’t get what they want, they start acting like dicks to get the sack. 12 months pay- and a coaching role elsewhere. Thanks for getting back. We do seem a lot more inclusive from a fan point of view. Which is great. But nobody at the club seems to want to be there. Maybe he just needs more time to get it running as he wants. Shifts in attitude and working sometimes take a long time to come to fruition. We’ll see.

IF that’s the case, then I find the whole situation very sad tbh. It’s one thing emailing Brook, and going, ‘hey Si, what’s this AL fella like?’ I understand why he wouldn’t email back. But then he shouldn’t be on the board in that capacity in the first place because it renders his position utterly pointless. The only reason you wouldn’t reply is if you have a very self inflated understanding of what you know. Do do I have to come to all the Trust meetings to be part of the club? Do I have to show my unwavering loyalty before I’m given the snippets they know over tea and biscuits? I think they stuff they do with raising money for the club is excellent. They give their time, and I get that. Fair play. BUT that doesn’t mean they’ve a right to know more than me because they can make more meetings than me. IF that is the case, then the trust is a little group of people drunk on little bit of power. Sad. But then, they might not have the read the post yet. . . ?

It’s very hard from an average fans point of view to have any inkling of what is or has gone at the club. I get the impression you like what you see with AL. You both come across as fair minded. So with the information your privy to, and using your own judgement. Are you confident/happy/positive with our direction of travel under him? I dont have any sources, or have any mates of mates at the club. I just want to glean an idea about the bloke from people who have met him, and whilst your not on the board you know a lot more than average joe. Im hoping that you’ll tell me we’re not going down the orient route. . .

An there it is.

AL. On the plus side- He’s kept season tickets price on offer a lot longer than first thought. When he does speak, it’s articulate and professional. He’s put substantial amounts of money in, and says he committed ong term. On the down side- A lot is coming out and/or being leaked- but there’s two sides to every story. He hasn’t once come out an told us his vision. It seems its his way or the high way. . It’s a weird set up. The PR from the club is much better. But the PR about the club is as bad as ever, and there a lot more leaks under AL than there ever were under Corney. Its really hard to any grasp of what the actual fuck is going on.

Yeah. Maybe AL was waiting to seal everything off wth Corney? Maybe the recent articles are something to do with it? Either way. I thought he was very, very lucky to still be in the job. Hopefully onwards and upwards.

Yeah, that’s where i am Steve. We’ll finally get to see if the ‘stability in the face of poor results brigrade’ are proved right. I genuinley hope they are, as it will mean we’re doing well. However my gut says he’ll be gone by Christmas.

Mmmm. The one saving grace with wellens, is he will hold AL’s feet to fire regarding another influx of French lads, I think he genuinely gives a shit about the club. Which is a good thing. But. We want a football manager as well, preferably one who wins more than he loses.

Very depressing. That does not in any way bode well. Ffs. But still, He did get a lot of his choices in Jan- and played them, so he can’t of been under massive pressure to play the French lads, because they’ve hardly figured. He never got the best out of Byrne or played him high up enough up the pitch. We lost our tactics/style very quickly. Two questions, 1. Do you now absolve wellens of any blame? 2. From your info, would you rather have SC or AL?

I’m not asking for what you know, I’m asking to what degree does this change your opinion of his ability to change a game, be tatctically astute etc. . With this information, would you be inclined to keep him on? If you were in charge?

It’s the ‘if my auntie had bollocks’ arguement again. How do you know he he would repeated his points to games ratio? You don’t. Your guessing. All we can assess is his games in charge, and for every 2 points dropped against the gills, there’s a point gained away at dale. When we deserved nothing. How are style and tactics different?? And again, for every individual mistake, there’s an individual bit of good play - Placide’s Penalty save at dale. On the pitch. An I stress on the pitch, our tactics, (style) and team selection have been woeful.

People need to accept that it’s culamative effect. Corney. Cheap/Bad appointments. Shez rescues. Cheap/bad appointments. Shez rescues. New man/New ideas/power struggle. Divided club. The ‘french lads’ Rookie Manager out of his depth. When you look at us over the last 3 season in particular, we’ve been a disaster waiting to happen. BUT. Having said all that we still had a good enough squad to stay up IMO. It is in part the way the club has been run, and a manager who hasn’t done the buisnees. IF. We get a solid manager, and the squad is invested in the same it has been this year- WITH THE PLAYERS THE MANGERS WANTS. We could do well next year. Unfortunatley i just see more kamkazie stewardship and very high player turnover.
