Zorrro
Bollocks! I was contemplating going on Saturday but decided funds were against me. If I'd known about this I'd've starved myself this week
Gentleman
Fishul says he'll continue to help out, which could prove extremely valuable for the new guy in charge e.g. contacts. I've got a feeling it could be a former Latic appointed.

johnny punkster
well i'm further puzzled now than ever. joe, quite rightly, has managed to cull some of the dead wood, but unfortunately,he won't finish that job. we now enter a period of uncertainty..waiting for a new appointment, that appointment getting his head around the remaining players here, who, deserves a new contract etc,who to be targeting for signings. what a mess. my money is on an inside appointment..as always, the cheap option .. thanks joe for getting rid of the spongers, pissheads and no hopers..shame he hasn't cleared the other ones out. was all about a budget joe wanted and identified as how much he needed to create a team that would challenge a full 46 games and TTA not agreeing? pissed off. Matt
So where now?? right at the very beginning again. In terms of the beginning being day one of this season or building the blocks of which was implemented some time ago, I think we have considerably less than what we started with... oafc0000
It is still the club I knew 15 years ago and I retain a lot of affection for the people here, the club and the fans that is why I was only too willing to help out over these past few weeks. Kind of sums it up for me....gone nowhere in 15 years... Thanks Joe and good luck... Gutted....

outoftheblue
The obvious worry is whether the available budget is enough to attract a decent manager. An appointment from within or someone who has recently left would be a bad move IMO.
oafc0000
So besides the five mins worth of work taking the obvious decision to offload Hughes and Liddell are little gamble has achieved absolutely f**k all... johnny punkster
all i can think about at the moment it what a circus latics has become. i can't get the trannies game out of my head..all that :censored:e build up to the game, the squeamish feeling i felt when, yet again, they played the latics v. sheff wed commentary over the tannoy.. and thinking..this is not right....and embarrassing. a mess. oafc0000
All this confirms we dont have a decent budget for next term and where now hoping on someone pulling rabbits out of hats...then again...we was all expecting that when we sacked our manager with nine games to go... It kinda reminds me of that hilarious funday at Brian Potter's Phoenix Club - Done on the cheap, cringeworthy, tacky and embarrassing. Too much hype for what should have been a simple clever commercial decision (One that backfired unfortunately).

oafc0000
I wouldn't say that. The Hughes decision was baffling. Its not baffling if the rumours on here where correct... Personally I thought are promotion push ended before Hughes left anyway... It ended when we sacked Sheridan... I wasnt surprised when I read that he had gone anyway so it wasnt that baffling to me... oafc0000
I think the target of 4500 season tickets just became that little bit more unlikely...if that's possible... No doubt we can look forward to David Eyres stepping up to the mark...(well he was there Saturday)
