Hands on
This is Latics where the unbelievable happens and the obvious doesnt. Cant see it Mike Keegan @mikekeeganmen Spoke to someone @ #mufc about Scholes to #oafc rumours. They only managed to stop laughing to say 'no chance' before erupting again. But can confirm a sighting on 184 at the Coop in Grotton heading towards Oldham. Back out to 7/4.... Can't be Scholes as he currently lives in Greenfield whilst his house is having a modest £2m revamp. We couldn't even pay him his pocket money. If his love of Oldham was genuine, he'd have offered to play for us by now, however briefly. This was from 18 months ago, six months later he was back playing for the Reds again... physical problems miraculously cured. news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/o/oldham_athletic/9513464.stm

Supposedly not that motivated by money (that line is the preserve of the wealthy) and apparently loves Latics, yeah right.

He isn’t going to drop down through the leagues, I’m sure of that. Once you’ve played for United for as long as he has – almost 20 years, Christ – what else are you going to do? I’ve read stuff about him going to play for Oldham in his last year. No chance.”

keep_the_faith
Dont understand why we'd want him as manager at this critical time in oafc history? Need nothing but an experienced fella in to see us safe come may, then if we want to take a gamble speak to paul in the preseason.

Use to see him all the time on supporters coaches to games in late 80's / early 90's, sound lad .. always got abuse (playful) from the older guys on the coach for being on Utds books!
