AndyGortonsMatches
His performance was woeful, I will be disgusted if he starts on Saturday.
no1laticsfan
Hopefully next time they will hide them. He is complete :censored:. The gardener with his pitch fork and the wonky leg at half time would of done better than him.
Midsblue
Made the right noises when he signed but I've scratched my head ever since....better than Smith? Meh
welshgaz
The only thing keeping him in the team must be that TP thinks smith cant do 90 minutes and sees him as an impact player.
blueatheart
Get rid. Doesn't have the passion.
Oh Heck C-Beck
Regardless of his performances on the pitch TP was praising his influence on this young squad so if we keep winning in the league i dont give a :censored: if he keeps his place. TP has shown he is happy to swap players around so will trust the managers judgement.
pinevillawill
Iwelooroll definitely won wheelie bin of the day award.

Oh Heck C-Beck
Like I said if he is a positive influence on the squad and we keep winning its fine by me. I support Oldham not Matt Smith. For what its worth I think so far TP is shown he is happy to change it e.g. Stevenage away so I am sure Smith will get his chances.
Alec1954
Dan Taylor must be very upset at not getting a game in front of him.
Ross2509
Absolutely awful! Didn't even look like he could be arsed at times! Then when Matt Smith came on what a difference! Smith needs to start from now on especially on this form - 4 goals in 3 games against two Premier League teams
LaticMark
I'd expect the roles to be reversed on Saturday with Smith starting and Iwelumo on the bench.
the_mighty_bosh
Smith should've played ahead of him tonight because Iwelumo showed in the first match that Jagielka and Distin beat him all ends up, but I'm convinced that Iwelumo's value to the side will be apparent during our battle to avoid the drop, as it already has in 2 of the last 3 league games. Smith has more of a physical presence but Iwelumo has more nous and brings others into the game more regularly than Smith. Both will have their uses for us. oafcprozac
I've defended him previously but tonight he was the Audley Harrison of target men....
BP1960
Iwelumo was poor, as was Obita, the biggest disappointment was Baxter's poor distribution, he looked jaded tonight.

bossrocks
I'll respect the club's decision to keep him if they feel his influence on the dressing room is positive but he was a waste of a shirt tonight. Distin had an easy first half against him. He's better than Jelavic though! Edited February 26, 2013 by bossrocks

Smith needs to start from now on especially on this form - 4 goals in 3 games against two Premier League teams Totally agree. We'll never know what would have happened if Smith had started. I'm sure Everton expected it, so they must have been relieved when he was on the bench. Soon as he came on, Everton started to panic at the back, it was like Gerrard coming on for Liverpool. Couldn't believe Distin for our goal, he just left Smith to do anything he wanted.
OAFC_Ryan
I said before that he's :censored:e and I got negative rep from it and a load people saying I'm clueless about football, guess who's laughing now? Not me, I just watched him play for nearly 60 mins with no pride, the lazy bastard!

Hands on
Just not good enough against premiership players. Does more than you think but lacks obvious effort. So would we all have picked that starting 11?
laticdickovarmy
I have no problem with players who are simply not good enough but he is one of the experienced players and not putting in a shift is bang out of order and im sorry but he did not put in a shift The camera at one stage zoomed in on him and was amazed to see he was sweating even I just wonder if he had it in his contract that he had to start in the cup games???? Im glad he did in the cup as league is our bread and butter and Smith must start Saturday ITV made a point that if we had someone to launch the ball in from throws to Smith we could be deadly
