Hartlepool vs Colchester

Recommended Posts

A draw as it removes a point. However it is in our own hands, just have to find two wins this month. The point we threw away yesterday might not come to haunt us if we can then find three wins from the first four games in April.

A draw would be a good result for us

We don't want to have to win 3 out of 4 in april . that will be too much pressure

We need to beat Hartlepool the Tuesday after, and get a draw at Trannies

We want hartlepool to win.

We are not competing with them, we are competing with Scunny and ColU for a place above the bottom 4.

ColU would be 2 pts ahead, 'Pool would be 3 pts behind us but we'd have 2 games in hand on both.

Why would we want to be 3 pts behind ColU and 5 pts ahead of Hartlepool?

If we can't stay ahead of 'Pool, we will not be staying up.

Hartlepool have got better recent form than Colchester

Hartlepool got 14 out of 18 points in February

Colchester got 9 out of 18 points in February, including conceding 5 at home to tranmere

Either team win, 3 points

Draw one point each

Difference one point.

But it's 2 points less than either team could gain over us. They can't both add their points together to both stay up over us, it's still one point for both teams.

And I want Hartlepool to win, we should be looking up, not down, if Hartlepool catch us, we deserve to go down.

Personally I think a Pool win is best for us. The fact is every time there is a draw a point disappears into the ether.

A pool win would leave them only 3 pts behind us but we have 2 games in hand.

I just donltfancy our chances of winning games in hand

Colchester win is obviosuly bad

A draw would leave us 5 pts ahead of HArtlepool, with 2 games in hand

& Colchester 3 pts ahead with us also with 2 games in hand

Surely the draw is the no brainer?

We need Crawley to beat Carlisle as we could oer take them, and Stevenage to lose to continue their poor run and drag them nearer.
