Not to dash everyone's hopes but he is definitely leaving, and in this transfer window. Let's just say that i was right about Jose Baxter leaving two days before it happened and with the exact value he eventually left for which no one believed to be true until everything was announced.

What we don't want is him dilly-dallying over a decision and some bugger nips in with a bid during this window. As blueatheart says, once he's signed on the dotted line, he's going to 1) attract a bigger transfer fee and 2) gain even more experience and get better with us until a megabucks offer comes in. Win win.

The cynical side of me says this article is pretty much confirmation of him leaving. A kind of 'we tried' message from the club.

How much then?

Will Burnley pay or are we talking another behind the doors Poundland deal?

Don't worry about it. There'll be a further £8 million in add ons when they qualify for Europe.

Apparently Dyche was at the Walsall game in the Directors box. (well directors seats anyway - it's hardly a box there :)

Real worth £1M to £1.5M. If we get £500K to £750K, I'd be fairly happy. Unless one of the big four or five come in, like Man Ure with Nick Powell from Crewe, you'll never get his full value. Sad, but true IMHO.

Although we got £500K for Trotters and he ain't in the same street as Tarky.

From what LJ was saying at MTM, if he's going to the Championship I'd be surprised if we get much more than half a million.

With hindsight but even after a small number of games (in the grander scheme of things), Trotman looked like he was going to be something else.

It isn't good news in the very unlikely event he stays for the length of that deal and then goes aboard (including Scotland) as we won't get any compo.

If he stays in England we wil do.

I wonder if this new deal has a sell-on clause in it?
