OAFC_Ryan
On the grapevine another young loanee (probably a centre back) will be signed from a Premiership club. Tom Thorpe?
BP1960
I agree with Johnson on Premier Youth Loans...Even on the off chance you find a gem of a youth player they are with you for 1 season at best....How does that help you build a title challenging squad and help you develop the season after?! It doesn't, if they are any good you cant afford to keep them, if they are no good you send them back. Big Joe went to Manchester City and other clubs - if he liked them he bought them (often cheaply) outright, if he had taken Barrett and Warhurst on loan he would never have been able to keep them for long. oafc-latics
The last former highly-rated Everton youngster we signed wasn't too bad...
Gaz_Oafc
Wish JPK all the best - he's a class player but his style of play has often been at odds with the JA/ES master plan. He's a top pro though and it was great to see him supporting the lads even when he wasn't in the squad - obviously loves his footie.
laticsrblue
Sick out of us continually scouting the non-leagues, why can't we give Premier League youth teamers games to develop in Like Ellis Plummer ? I'm pretty sure marhar was being sarcastic. If not I'm with you BP1960
LeylandLatic
I don't understand what's in this for Macc. have we paid a small fee as part of the loan, or agreed a fee up front to take him at the end of the season if it's a success? Otherwise they're just giving us their best player for 6 months for no reason, right?
Oh Heck C-Beck
Can someone help me out here, need a good reason to slag off the club and LJ for making this signing,,,
BP1960
Tom Thorpe? He would be excellent.

Macc are seriously short of cash, and he will be a big, if not their top, earner, it will be a wage balancing act for them, bit like how it was for us for Stephens. Oh Heck C-Beck
I think its the fact he's yet another loanee. In all seriousness though, dont you think it seems more like a view to a permanent move going off the OS article?

But if there's so much confidence couldn't he have been bought outright for a nominal fee and left room for another loanee who might be needed later ? lancy lad
A non goalscoring midfielder, he'll fit right in here... Do you ever have anything positive to say? You don't ever once offer anything other than moaning and whinging about everything do you?
dannyboy55555
Good signing.
bigfatjoe1
The non-league Messi is really quite highly rated. Being a little fella, I suspect he's a late developer (actually looks smaller than LJ). Nothing to lose. No risk involved. Could be another Mark Ward. oafc-latics
And we got no money for him. he kept us up and got us to a 5th round replay in the cup though?
JoshOWTB
Either: He fits into how LJ wants to play his team and will provide good cover plus the little extra something we need to start winning games. He will sign a permanent 2 year contract with us at the end of the season. OR He proves to be :censored:, we waste £600 per week on him for the next 4 months (or whenever we cancel the loan) and it doesn't work out. I'll give him a chance first before I slate him, lots of good quotes in this thread to look back on if he turns out to perform very well for us. bigfatjoe1
he kept us up and got us to a 5th round replay in the cup though? Good point. He cost us peanuts but he helped earn us over £500k. Kissock will also be on peanuts and will be desperate to succeed. He must have ability (at Everton as a kid and England u16 and u18s). This could be a very good signing. jw_oldh857
I like the way Jonson gives players a chance, an equally if its not working out he gets rid. but I can't see him making a marque signing with the type of manager he is. so these are the signings well be making. an I've Sussd out now how to do paragraph on a computer hoorah
