Welsh international moves to Boundary Park

Latics have agreed terms with Welsh international central defender James Wilson after his release from Bristol City. Wilson will join the club until the end of the season with an option to extend his stay.
Wilson joined The Robins in 2007 making over 30 first team appearances whilst at Ashton Gate. To gain more experience Wilson spent three months on loan with Brentford at the start of the 2008–09 season, his spell helping the Bees build an impressive start to the campaign before going on to win the League Two title. Wilson was awarded a winners medal for his part in the clubs triumph.
He returned to Brentford on loan at the start of the following season, remaining with the Bees until the end of the year. The defender also spent a month on loan with Cheltenham Town in September 2013.
Wilson, who can also play at right back, has also represented his country at under 19 and under 21 level before making his full debut for the senior side in October last year in a draw against Belgium

Joseph Mills signed for Shrewsbury, apparently.

Ex-Oldham loanee Joseph Mills joins Shrewsbury on loan until May. Bit of a blow #oafc

That's a baffling one has he impressed me here. Surely he didnt impress LJ enough as you'd have thought Mills would have chosen us over Shrews?

I believe Johnson doesn't want too many players on loan who won't be with us next season. Mills must have made it clear he sees his future at Championship level.

Another thing, we currently have 4 loan players (Oxley, Worrall, Harkins, Kissock). There is a maximum of 5 allowed in a matchday squad, so getting Mills on loan would have restricted us getting someone in in Feb or March.

If the rumoured transfer of Tarky to Brentford is correct then he may be our 5th loanee for the next month
