WIZZO83 Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Why is this lad not featuring on the 1st team bench at least? We have heard all about giving youth a chance but that seems to just be directed at Mellor and Winchester, both have had their chance and let it slip through their fingers. Bove must be full of confidence and didint LJ make a point of saying he would use the youth team players but that seems to have gone down the toilet. Give him and Turner a chance, lets see some pace up front on Tuesday night. But it appears that LJ has hit untouchables that cant be dropped even when they are out of nick
beag_teeets Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Give Wes the night off, stick him in midfield and let him do the "enforcer" role, them soft lads from Yorkshire won't know whats hit them on Tuesday night.
NewBlue Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 This point scoring against LJ is getting tedious. Bove was given an opportunity. He was sent off within 2 mins after running around like a headless chicken. That validates his non selection to me. Pritchard has been played and Clarke was on the bench for the Tranmere game last week. We've had several youth teamers in the first team squad. What's the next pop at the manager going to be?

His collars did look silly on Saturday.
yarddog73 Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 IMO Bove is miles away from the first team needs at least another season in the reserves wouldnt be able to stand up to the physical nature of league 1 football, centre halfs woul;d have him in there pocket. Watched him in the reserves against experianced lumps and he comes off second best, keep him to the youth team and step him up next season.

Missed the memo but will quickly get up to speed on that front from now on...

Look you; with your info & facts to support your post - there's no place for that here. Didn't you get the memo either? LJ is only playing his friends...
beag_teeets Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 It really is getting like deja vu all over again on here. If I remember correctly the next thing to happen is "hands in pockets", it's like we've been here before....
singe Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 We have not wheeled out "Lost the Dressing Room" (Numero Uno) OK so we play better in he 2nd half becasue Tommy does the half time team talks (Numero Dos) but I'll be the first to put them out there. Just to be first..
Dave_Og Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 He only got the job in the first place because he took the same size tracksuit as Dickov
BP1960 Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 He's very lightweight, not ready by a long way, Turner is a better bet.
nzlatic Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 I for one am sick of Johnson the tinkerman and his team of undroppable mates. Love the OWTB oxymorons.
NIKI1234 Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 (edited) Pre match meal at mc donalds probably doesnt help him. Seriously though I cant imagine premier league youngsters in their local maccy ds on a sat afternoon, game or no game Edited March 10, 2014 by NIKI1234
PlayItLivo Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 I like to Bove it, Bove it. Bove...Bove will tear you apart, again!
IceStationLatic Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 I like to Bove it Bove it the winner for me. Worth bringing off the bench just for the song!
MaskedOwl Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 LJ can't seem to do right from wrong for some. Stop changing the team.............Change the team and chuck a few kids in! I'd rather him play the experience to hopefully guide the team to safety. Use the kids after we are safe...
unsworthlatic Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 I know we have only seen 3 minutes or so of him and I don't watch the youth team because I play football myself however off the very little I saw he raced around for a couple of minutes, committed a couple of desperation challenges ultimately giving away a free kick and then a god awful tackle on the Notts County full back which certainly warranted a red card. Compare that to the first 3 minutes I saw Turner play on Saturday, he came on and immediately won the first 3 headers against a half decent centre back of Tom Clarke, Turner not being tall himself but timed his jump to perfection. I know which one i'd prefer, i'd play him tonight and see what he can do

yarddog73 Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 ^^^^^ hopefully - steve 'think my heads gonna explode' evans.
beag_teeets Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Good call! He can stick the nut on Evans on his way back up the tunnel whilst still chewing on the left back's right ankle that he has ripped off with his bare hands.
