Let's give the lad a chance. It's no good moaning about another loan signing because that's all you can get now. Unless, of course, you look for someone who's without a club. LJ is obviously unhappy with the performances of some of his troupe, so if he kicks someone out to make way for some one better, albeit a loanee, so be it.

He's admitted that some of his signings have been a let down and he accepts responsibility for that, so at least he's made a move to try to put it right. There's been plenty of complaints about lack of movement in signings, but we can't afford to replace the Baxters of this world with a like for like. Top quality players are almost impossible to come by for a club like us, so we try to get the best we can for the money we've got.

Let's hope he has a stormer at Crewe tomorrow and helps to lead the charge away from the drop zone.

Where's he been crucified?

Well, these aren't exactly complimentary and welcoming.

what a :censored: signing!! he wont drop Korey or Weso, Harkins is our best player on the left. total bollocks!!

desperation!!!!

When did we start accepting such mediocrity? Sad sad times.

What on earth is going on at the club , it is utter madness . Short term loanee after short loanee. And let's be honest if they are not catching the team in March they must be superstars.

We have gone from smoothly building a team during the summer to seeing what is left in the shop at the sales ,just before closing.

hopeless and hapless.

One criticising the transfer policy of signing short term loanees. One questioning signing a midfielder when the manager won't drop his current midfielders. One asking why people accept mediocrity. Hardly been crucified has he?

The overreaction to the initial reaction is usually a lot bigger overreaction than the initial reaction. It's like people can't wait to moan about people moaning. It's the only thing worth reading on here sometimes.

What happened to all that 'due diligence' and 'only picking the right players'....easy to do i guess when you are sat at home building a full brief to impress Simon Corney for an interview...not so much when you have a managing role to fill!

I don't know, mediocrity and :censored: are words which have summed Latics up for a while, so they are words which would more thank likely means he is on a par with the current squad.

Let's be honest, if calling someone "mediocre" classes as a crucifixion nowadays, 95% of people need to calm it down a bit.

Maybe that is possible, whilst building a squad during close-season.

However, in the midst of a relegation battle, with urgent action needed and the loan window closing soon...?

Not quite right, Dave. The implication is certainly there that the player isn't up to scratch.

Dave's LIVID.

I wonder just how much scouting and thorough research of the lad has gone on here?

At this stage of the season, I highly doubt that a detailed dosier has been compiled on the lad and a considered approach to whether of not sign him has been done depending upon abilties, character, fitness etc

He's not a young lad who will be making his debut? Check

He plays midfield? Check

He's currently way off his parent clubs starting X1? Check

....he'll do then.

Ah well. Welcome to BP Joel. Hope you have 10 stormers and see us out of the :censored:.
