GlossopLatic
Is this his year? I've not been to any preseason games but from what people on here have said he's getting some rave reviews. I've thought he's always looked like a decent player technically but at times looked abut Boshellesque he needed to get stronger fitter and meaner. Has he been hitting the gym and the protein shakes? Can he do a Tarkowski and have a really good preseason and step up his performance? Or is he benefitting from preseason friendlies which are less intense meaning he gets more time on the ball? Should he start at Colchester?

welshgaz
Id have him in the team. Would have to be a midfield 3 though.
yarddogs
Montano had a great pre-season last year!

HarryBosch
Let's see how he gets on when the proper stuff starts. Same as he always did previously - elegant football, glorious goals.
deyres42
Is that your way of saying he should start at Colchester? Sounds like he's shown up well enough in the friendlies to deserve to.
JoeP
I've thought he's always looked like a decent player technically but at times looked abut Boshellesque he needed to get stronger fitter and meaner. Boshell is a fair comparison, but he's been far more consistent. Always thought he had something about him and always been annoyed when loans have been bought in, when he could have been given a chance. That said, the club obviously rate him as he would have been on his way long before now, if otherwise. He's technically excellent and it's always good to have a midfielder who's willing to have a shot, like his goal against Swindon last season, which was no fluke.. HarryBosch
Can we introduce a swear box style £1 to Playershare thing for every time someone says he needs to "bulk up"?
Magic Mikey
Montano had a great pre-season last year! Bet you he didn't.
Stevie_J
The lad has a bit of class about him. He still looks like he could do with putting on a stone and unfortunately I still think, more often than not, he'll get bullied into anonymity once we get to the competitive games. I hope he proves me wrong.
ShireBlue
He's definitely earned a prominent role in the squad, however as with Connor Brown I think the newcomers to the squad will get first dibs to a starting spot (Rightly or wrongly). sjk2008
He'd be starting for me against Colchester that's for sure.
Ryan
I don't view him as a wide player but he was excellent yesterday. Start with that 4-4-2, please.

BP1960
He does indeed look good pre season, my one concern about him is sometimes the game passes him by (as in the first 20 minutes v Huddersfield) he needs to be on the ball to be most effective and if his teammates can do this we will see the best of him. oafc_lover
He just oozes elegance and class when on the ball. Give him games, let him gain some confidence and I'm sure given enough encouragement he'll become a big player for us!
