Monty Burns
Yeah £30k seems right. Youth budget and coaching salaries be seperate and any other monies needed comes from player sales.
JoshOWTB
£30k a week sounds about right. I'm sure most years we would've made a loss too if it wasn't for some decent FA Cup runs. Edited May 7, 2015 by JoshOWTB
yarddog73
Orient have 3 players on 8k plus I know that for a fact and they are now League 2, same for JET recently released by Bristol he is on 10k a week, Tarky was on 1100 when he left here to Brentford who pay him 4k a week now. Monty Burns
Can have a good go on that, but SC has said its going to 'need more than one or two good players' which suggests half of our half good team will be off.
Midsblue
Surely a professional footballer is on more than £500 per week?!

bozman
I suppose there is one way that he could have £1.5million to spend on transfer fees ..... If Barnsley pay us the £5million for Kelly, that Johnson told us he was worth a couple of months before he left!
opinions4u
Average income £15 per paying spectator x 4,000 = £60k per game x 23 = £1.38m. Sponsorship and grants in. Rates, other bills, maintenance and pension liabilities out. Can't see the wage bill exceeding £1.5m.
jw_oldh857
that's a fair assessment o4u so over the last few years with the cup runs and player sales where does that money go?
deyres42
Bradford adult/student season ticket £150 (up to £250 after July 5) - they are looking to shift 15000. If the lads really cared about bums on seats/atmosphere etc they could have done something similar. http://www.bradfordcityfc.co.uk/news/article/season-ticket-prices-confirmed-2444707.aspx

opinions4u
that's a fair assessment o4u so over the last few years with the cup runs and player sales where does that money go? A lot of the cup run money went on paying Barnard and Iwelumo an obscene amount (allegedly), as well as providing the funding to start work on the stand. Recent transfer fees, I'd guess, will have reduced the amount of extra borrowing needed for the new stand. BP1960
In the olden days players didnt get paid off season, the great Stanley Matthews had the termerity asking to be paid, only to be told 'you dont kick a ball in June and July so you how can you expect any money'? Whitts
If we want a bigger playing budget, a better team, an improved stadium, then we need as many fans down at BP to support the club. SC has done us proud to keep this club going but he needs our support, our hard earned money to move it forward. Staying away is not the answer, it will just bring on the demise and then what do we do on a Saturday. Yes it is frustrating at times when you follow a little club like ours and the decisions of the board are often baffling but it is our club and our continued support is the only way it will get better. When we enter BP you feel something. We know its a :censored:hole in parts but its our :censored:hole ... its our church. For a couple of hours you can switch off from the stresses of work, your reducing bank balance and relationships. Its escapism where along with a few thousand others we can worship a common goal. Lets be positive, lets not protest and stay home - it will kill the club off. Get down to BP, give the new man a chance, persuade someone to come with you and that 1.5 million will increase. The future of the club is in our hands no one else.

palmer1
the problem is many are looking for an excuse to maon about stopping going or never coming again... no stand, ticket prices, the manager, the budget, new stand not ready, new stand to expensive, moving from the chaddy, the IRA, the kit, the owner, Barry, Ched Evans. Every week their is another reason.... MAYBE WE COULD SET UP A THREAD JUST FOR THAT?
Simpo
Maybe have free entry for a weekend friendly, show off the new facilities, advertise it, have stalls around offering early bird price season tickets for one day only? Make it a preseason event instead of the usual non event.

At the prices, if you are buying one or have already bought then you probably was always going to, there isn't going to be a mad rush at this stage - not sure why there needs to be an early bird deadline.
