He will miss the Blackburn game today with a calf injury. Disappointing that he continues to struggle to shake this injury off.

Signs are looking ominous with this one, hope we wont be hearing the excuses of 'missed most of pre season, so its been difficult to get going' in the coming weeks.

He's probably doing light training anyway. No point putting him in if he's not 100% and then have him miss a chunk of the season.

Hopefully it's just precautionary.

Reckon he needs an early goal - one or two in the first few games - to get a bit of confidence after a long barren run.

If he bags a few there might be no stopping him, as with his Tranmere loan. If he doesn't score early, he might be struggling.

Will it be him or Turner that starts tomorrow though?

In the Chron, DD says Cassidy is maybe two or three weeks away from being ready. Forte will be back around Christmas time. I look forward to more joint efforts like the one at Walsall.

Thing for me is that if you had any 2 of Cassidy, Higdon and Fuller playing you would want Mark Yeates playing on the wing doing what he does best and putting cross after cross into the box for them to attack. It's a shame Lafferty is injured but with Mills coming back you could have Yeates on the right and just keep bombing crosses into the box from both sides and have the others making late runs into the box to pick up second balls.

Easy this tactics game.

I've missed some games but I don't recall Yeates, or any other player, putting cross after cross into the box.
