deyres42
After Doncaster, the transfer window opens on January 1 and Dunn says players will need to leave before any newcomers arrive.“I don’t really want to bring in any more players at this stage,” he said. “If we were to do that now, without getting rid of any, then you are probably looking at two training groups which sometimes isn’t ideal for team spirit.” Interesting after all the talk to the contrary... We have a least five loans expiring so there is no danger of players leaving.

Interesting after all the talk to the contrary... I don't think we were ever going to be in a position where we could sign players first. I expect there to be a fair few leaving though, either due to their loans/contracts expiring or us managing to offload some players under contract. yarddog73
Bang goes the myth on here of Dunn somehow rebuilding our squad, he will somehow have to put his faith in the 30 odd players he has branded as :censored:e, good luck with that one. deyres42
“There are positions that we need, without a doubt. That is what we will look to do,” said Dunn, whose primary target is a dominant centre back, missing all season.“It is pretty simple — we need to get certain positions sorted. We have had to swap and change the team too much this year. We have used too many players.“I don’t think recruitment has been very good previously, that’s for sure. We can’t make it an excuse;. I haven’t and I won’t. But it’s no secret we have been looking at certain positions for a while.“But players who can make a difference are few and far between.” Oldham Chronicle, 18 December. yarddog73
Take it he has had a chat with Simon Corney since December the 18th then. Bloke lives in a dream world if he thinks he is at a club who can just clear out players (who nobody want) and bring fresh ones in, it costs money to move them on money we just ain't got.
