Do you agree he was wrong with his use of the word "suddenly"?

Fuck me. Neither the time  nor the place.

They announced they were bringing the retirement age change from 67 to 68 forward by 7 years. It was announced just before the summer recess, and as a cost saving excercise. They were legally supposed to announce by 7th May but they held off till after the election, despite the Cridland Report.

Yes.

Suddenly.

I'll concede surpise or unexpected if sematics is your thing.

Crikey, it's almost as busy as summer.

You have to hope a striker is announced shortly, hopefully with ginger hair from Prestony area + a few more

On the positive side, part from Clarke and Green, it's not really reduced the payroll massively.

Queensy is almost certain to go, or has gone already.

McEleney is described in reports as an attacking midfielder, so we're even thinner up top than it looks.

They called him a forward in the accouncment, I wonder if that is where RWintends to play him?

I'll add Queenys to above, good point

I'll gray out Youth or not likely to feature unlress takeover collapses

I'm probably wrong, but isn't there a rule the embargo may not apply if the squad is under 24 players?

I can see the younger ones going out on loan again too making the squad under that.

Think it may be 20 players. But there is definitely part of the embargo rules that allows sides to sign players if they only have so many.

Would the FA/EFL not consider sending players out on loan as somewhat against the spirit of that exception? i.e. tell you to recall your loans instead of allowing more signings.

Can't stifle a club wanting to better itself I'd have thought as long as it's finances are in order.
