That said, you can see why we're in the position we are, judging by how few consecutive passes we put together. The team operates a little like Nazon - just put your head down and hope that you end up in front of goal with the ball still at your feet. When you build a team you start at the back, that's why Shilton was Cloughie's first signing at Forrest, all those years ago, when he built a Champions league team. We started this season with absolute clowns between the sticks and Johnny is only marginally better.
