underdog
Dear all I have been advised of the sad news that former OASF director Philippa Whittaker has passed away today. She was instrumental in the FSA Fan led review of the EFL. she advocated strongly for independant financial regulation, the golden share, put the 51 plus model of fan ownership on the radar as well as briefing MP Tracey Crouch on clubs seperated from Assets citing OASF case. With the full support of OASF she fought for OASF shareholder rights too see full OAFC club accounts...one year getting the club to re-publish them. A first for any EFL club and so noted by football finance guru Kieran Maguire. Her interlect was way beyond my sphere, with many other none footy strings to her bow, but she always bridge the gap with her ex-squaddie humour and being a long suffering OAFC fan One of those OASF volunteers who just cracked on with the boring stuff that kept OASF legal and compliant. Gone to join the ranks on the sky terraces above to roar us on. thanks everyone

underdog
thanks for all the kind messages. Philippa's funeral was yesterday at Oldham Parish church. As expected, it was packed out with all the diverse groups she helped out with. Those that knew her via latics, wore our footy scarves, with the families blessings FSA sent representation too. cheers
