I'm convinced if Gerrard had gone out on loan and he remained we'd have been in a lot better state as it may have hastened ALMO's departure.

To be fair, Clarke had made a really bad start to the 17/18 season and didn't do much to halt Bury's slide when he went there. Think they finished rock bottom by some distance...

Even if Clarke hadn't played a minute for us I think the club as a whole would have been in a much better place.

Ahh,  the old four game unbeaten run being extended to 3 months again. . . 

He decided to keep a fat gobshite over a top pro and better leader, and we paid the price.
