That’s a great point.

He couldn’t wait to get his hands on them in pre season . . . and now we’re second to everything.

Same old script, we will come out second half marginally better, Nick a point or a narrow heroic loss and it’ll be turned into positive. No excuses now. I’m going on I know 😂, but ffs it’s always the same

Does anyone remember that time we couldn’t win a game playing a formation with a 3 or 5 in it- and then  Unsy ‘stumbled’ on something and played 442. Then we went on a really good run, well it turns out Unsy hasn’t learnt and is Insistent on playing formations he hasn’t got the players for or is isn’t tactically good enough to coach, and poor Sutton (the young centre back if you recall) is again getting rinsed as a wingback.

Yeah I have never been a fan of 5 at the back

You need specialised lwb and rwb and the average pro has probably played however many years they've had as a pro, and all their time in youth football without ever playing the system

they never look comfortable positionally

it's fine when you're a Tottenham or Chelsea and you can spend 50m on a chilwell or a porro specifically for that system, but non top end teams generally seem to struggle to make it work
