  1. 1. Should the owner offer the Manager/Head Coach job permanently?

    • Yes
    • Don't know
    • No. Becase he is inexperienced
    • No. Because caretaker mangers struggle when appointed full time eg Wellens & Solskjaer
    • No. Other
  2. 2. Is he likely to offer him the position permanently though?

  3. 3. How do you rate Pete Wild's performance as Manager/Head Choice this season overall?

Been impressed with his interviews but you find a lot of the younger lads are confident in that area these days.

Not sure about huge pressure, never really been in the hunt for anything other than mid table.

He's done well on the whole over a short period of time but there's been a few stinkers in among it and I've not seen much evidence of any great tactical nous.

Wouldn’t you actually have to go the matches to find such evidence ? Not much to break down on the 45 seconds of action on Quest is there ?

I wouldn't be adverse to going in for Big Sol in the summer. Surely he'll have ideas higher than Macclesfield...

....but we’re not higher than Macclesfield. Thanks to a combination of Chris Moore, Simon Blitz, Danny Gazal, Simon Corney & Abdallah Lemsagam.

As mentioned previously Abdallah should just bite the bullet and go for some French coach and call it a day.

Its impossible for PW to succeed with the current model in place at Latics and he’d be a genuine mad man to take the job full time.

Done alright under the conditions already.

Anyone who says a performance of over 50% win ratio is anything other than excellent with the circumstances makes me question their judgement and expectation level

We were 14th when he took over. We are now 13th. We have won 1 game in 5. He's doing alright, but a lot of people are going overboard about him...

I'm going to be proud and say I'm going overboard Paddy, almost Shuck like!

Mainly because of the circumstances rather than pure results.

he has done really well, in fact he's shown some more experienced managers up but he's not right long term for the job. Its basically a fan managing the club and he has no contacts and hasnt got the credentials to be able to attract decent players to come and play for him. Can see why people think he should be given a go but seriously you'd have to have major doubts he could build anything that would improve us next year. recruitment would be difficult and thats with AL doing the signings as pro's will not want to sign for him. we should all be greatfull for his efforts put him back to youth team manager as we know we will have a very suitable caretaker if needed in the wings and press on for a manager who can turn us into a decent side next year. prefereably one with some good contacts and experience.

A fan managing the team is insulting, he is qualified, he has spent a number of years around youth teams.

But I take the gist  if the club was run properly, Pete would be nowhere near the first team and most would not have a clue who he was.

He will probably be kept on until August when most of the Lemys recruits have been brought in, and then replaced by a new manager. If he's British he will be gone before Christmas.
