  1. Where would this new ground be built and what size would it be? For fans who rely on public transport it has to be within easy reach for all, not just drivers. It can't be on green belt or farm land. IMO it would initially attract people who were local to the ground but the die hard fans of each club wouldn't be interested. I don't know where this new club would be placed in the pyramid of leagues, but I doubt it could be an EFL club. It would take quite a while to build up a fan base. For me i's a non starter.
  2. You'd be surprised how many fans who go to matches have little knowledge of what goes on. When I'm travelling to or returning from a game on the bus, and general discussions I hear, people just don't know. They used to depend on the Chron. for info. but now it's not printed they have no means of knowing about the club in general.
  3. It could be worse. Coventry are facing being thrown out of ye EFL because they haven't been able to tell the EFL where they will be playing next season. They haven't yet agreed a deal with the Ricoh owners and have asked several clubs about ground sharing. Apparently it's being put to a vote of all EFL clubs at the next meeting, on whether Coventry should be thrown out or not.
  4. I honestly didn't. I only looked at your prediction after I had posted mine, and didn't expect us to be so like minded. However we are miles apart tonight. Good luck.
  5. Someone will most likely get sent off tonight with this ref.7 reds in 33 games.
  6. This is difficult. Latics 3-1 Grimsby HT 1-0 Lang 3729
  7. “I just want to play more football. Maybe I would like to take a step up, but I must also show that I am ready for it". Seems like he wants a loan to L1 at ;east next season.
  8. It's not many considering we have 3400 season ticket holders at the moment and they only have until tomorrow to renew to guarantee their seat!
  9. He said he had done this in the Sky interview if I remember correctly, but Simon Blitz may confirm that for you if the Trust are in contact with him. He may also qualify why they are negotiating, or have accepted the bid from the fans group and not AL's. The reason could be because AL's offers were so low that they were totally unacceptable, or that they don't trust him.
  10. I don't particularly think this will work sufficiently. The best option is to not renew season tickets for now. He won't necessary care about attendances, but he will care about money coming in. We may get some kind of movement from him then.
  11. He's finally brought his City form to England.
  12. It could have been a 6 month contract. The 1st. away game was 11th. August at Forest Green, which would run out 10th. February, the day after Crawley..
  13. Of course the have, and they have been very reliable. No doubt Swans cancelled the contract because they hadn't been paid. I was just stating such a contract would have been procured last summer for the season.
  14. It's a bit odd for a contract to supply coaches to the club runs out mid season. Surely a contract like this would be signed before the season starts. Coach companies would have been asked to tender for the contract and show that they have sufficient vehicles during the summer.
  15. Can we afford paper plates? This is obviously being done now because season ticket renewals are not going well, and the anger on this board and other social media sites. He may well be close to going under and needs this money to keep the club going. Even if he isn't, he is not going to stop interfering, because it's in his nature to want to control everything. He can't trust a manager to spend the budget wisely and manage the team selection. His brother seems to be the only person he trusts, and we know nothing about either of them.
  16. I remember him being interviewed when he first took over, it may have been on GMR, and he said that he had, but didn't elaborate. As for protesting - This board is only used by a very small number of fans. An ideal way to inform more fans would have been via the Chron.but I suspect it's readership has drastically shrunk since it went online. I don't know if the Oldham Times is read widely by fans or not. It may be worth while getting them involved when it has been decided what to do.
  17. Can we sign him now, or do we have to wait until the summer?
  18. AL is unpredictable and does things on the spur of the moment. He constantly says that the fans are everything and ether a protest or not buying season tickets may tip him over the edge and decide to walk away. I don't think he's as thick skinned as Corney. If he does walk then we will be in administration, and a points deduction. Am I right in thinking that if this happens at the end of this season it is a 10 point deduction this season and a further 10 next season, or over the summer it could be a 20 point deduction next season?
  19. I wonder if Priest has turned down the opportunity to manage the team temporarily now that Wild has taken over again.
  20. Can you imagine Steve Evans v AL. Evans would be going purple with rage at any interference.
