    Steve Eyre wasn't very complimentary of Byrne before the match today on RadioManc. Says he speaks to Wellens all the time, as well as one or two of the squad. Of the three loanees we'll miss Byrne the least, and it's very much a case of Richie Wellens doing a lot more for Byrne, than Byrne has done for Wellens. He was sort of implying that he was a bad egg, but that's why here's here, he'd be playing at a higher level of he wasn't.

    I'd have thought that was Abdallah's plan, especially if he's buying the club only (i.e no land/stand etc.)? Bring freebies over from his contacts/agency, they do the biz, he then sells them and make money on them to cover costs/profit?

    They were saying on GMR the other night that Wellens doesn't/didn't want to play with 2 upfront, he'd rather play 4-2-3-1(iirc.) but he couldn't drop either Doyle or Davies with the form they are in.

    I said at half time that we might have a problem towards the end as we wouldn't be able to keep the high work rate up for 90mins. We did (helped by the right subs at the right times) and the Gardner one is a good example, as well as Jack Byrne who was still chasing down and winning 50/50 balls in stoppage time, despite Blackburn's best efforts to kick him off the park all afternoon.

    I feel a bit sorry for Banks, he wasn't even in the squad today and he's still getting a load a stick.

    Every player was excellent today... But anyone who doesn't give Jack Byrne MOM, freedom of the town and a free go on their missus, doesn't even like football! FACT
