  1. Makes me laugh how there attitude changes week to week. Raining against a small team then they don't usually bother as long as your in front of your seat, but then a bigger game and woah the power rush runs through there veins like heroin to a druggy! He's the worst in the purple jacket,he's the biggest prick going. Seems to think that after every game theres going to be a pitch invasion so arranges the stewards accoringly at the side of the pitch. I know quite a few lads who have stopped coming to most games due to the fussy stewards.
  2. When we pull the Lookers down this summer, lets put up some dug outs on that side so all this nonsense with the crowd and the manager 'avin a go' at eachother is put to rest.
  3. Straight Red for me as well. Wolfy would of been in a great scoring chance and then the GK took him out. That tackle on its own was dirty and could of got a player sent off for it.
  4. Hardly the crime of the century is it? Most of the moaning gits in the Main Stand need to shown the V's anyway..
  5. Smalley walks this MOM for me.
  6. The stewards in general at Oldham are shocking and power mad. Was there any need for the amount of stewards there tonight? The one in the purple jacket who 'organises' the stewards is the most OTT steward I've seen. When Eardley's shot which hit the post he came over to one of the ethnic stewards and b*llocked him for not standing up when the crowd raises - What is that guy on? 2-0 up against a team who are pretty much down and yet they still organise them to stop people running on the pitch! Sorry but I hate stewards with passion..
  7. Reasons for not going in main stand: 1- Full of moaners (yes more) 2- I can't be bothered slotting in around the regulars 3- Seats are shocking 4- No atmosphere 5- Too far from away fans to wind up! RRE for me - The question is, would we get the big or little bit?
  8. Me too although I got in 5mins to go and I presumed nobody bothered to do it because of the rain.
  9. Me personally would think that were going to just miss out as I don't think were good enough to make it. Hope I'm wrong though..
  10. I'm in that group! So should everyone else who wants to create an atmosphere..
  11. A few players missing through injury hasnt helped us this season but would we of got 500k for Trotman if Gregan hadnt of been injured and would Lewis still be unknown to most fans if Hughes wasnt out? We need to keep a team together for next season because we can't keep ripping the team apart and signing new players each summer. I think were lucky to have such great talent coming through the team. Eardley needs a right winger (Taylor?) to play balls to because it's a waste of potential letting him hoof the ball away. Smalley,Wolfy and Lewis will be quality when their fully ready for first team football (Loan?). I think Shez will of learnt a lot more this season than last which is good because he's a great young manager. He needs to get some more attacking football sorted out because most of the 1-0 defeats this season could of been avoided if we'd have been more clinical upfront. Hopefully Davies and Hughes will learn to play together as they could be a leathal partnership. I think next season could be a good one but there's a few things to iron out with the squad. New stand being built next year aswel so it's not all doom and gloom yet!
  12. Allott for me because he shut up all the people who had a go at Shez for bringing him in for a fee (which seems tiny now). Local lad who puts in 110% every week - big or small game, you can't ask for much more than that in this league. Hazell has been quality no doubt but Allott takes it.
  13. He was poor tonight. I think Allott would make a better captain personally aswel, how can you captain a team from right back?
  14. How many goals has Constantine scored against us over the years? I'm sure it's a few.
  15. The thing you've got to think about is will people enjoy coming to the game? If I took my neutral mate to Tuesday's game I'd feel like I'd wasted £20 of his hard earnt money! Fair enough the Lookers is coming down at the end of the season but for years It's been shocking. In the Lower Paddock there charging you £2.50 for half a pint even though they won't let you through to the Royle Bar where it's £2.50 for a pint. You've got that dyke of a steward telling you that you can't go through to the Royle Bar due to health and safety regulations - Tuesday night game where we couldn't pull in 4000 fans, It's a joke. I'll carry on my rant to say that the music is dead, simple thing really but were dusting off records from before Frizell was in charge! Half time entertainment is non existant, the cheerleaders are about 6 aswell. Promotion would obviously boost crowds. Friday night games would keep it interesting I think. A singing section(rre) would bring a few people who are interested in the atmosphere more so than the game. Cheaper tickets for 16-21 like at Trannys and Port Vale tomorrow.
  16. People in the other stands moan but they can't hear Shez... I remember when Killen scored a hatrick in the ressy's a few year back and he was on top form then missed a sitter. Shez b*llocks him saying how it's a simple game and just kick it between those white sticks. Seems he's never happy but that's a good thing in my opinion.
  17. Thats Ronnie Moore getting a little bit of revenge on us by knowing he was going to sign for Tranmere but tease Oldham by saying we were going to get him. Still hate the Scouse git!
  18. Think it worked out as aprox 400k from the all the FA Cup games. 500k from Trotman along with the available money left from letting Kilkenny and Bertrand go leaves us with a bit to play with. You've got to take into account the clubs losses every week though and I would like some of the money to be spent slowing down our losses as when the owners pack up I'd like to be in a safe position financially.
  19. Good money made from him to say we've only had him playing a short period. I wish him well and the way he conducted himself whilst he was at the club is something other players should try to be like. 500k + appearence bonus + sell on clause = good business.
  20. Alessandra should be given a chance up front tonight. This lad has bags of talent and theres a couple of Premier teams sniffing around him so they must rate him aswel. Smalley's good on the right but as a striker Im not quite sure yet.
  21. Im sick of the negativity knocking about on the board so Ive made a thread for positive posts only just incase you feel the need to realise why It's not as bad as other people seem to make out. Things to be positive about: Last 5 games only conceeded 2 goals. 1 defeat in 17 games. 7 wins and 2 draws away from home in the last 9. Very good chance to get into the last 16 of the FA Cup. Planning application got the go ahead. Tranmere fans agree Ronnie Moore is gash! Add more things to be positive about
  22. I agree with Rick where was Hughes tonight? Not fair to have a go at Davies as he came very close twice and on other occasions they would of gone in but he's been unlucky recently. To get a point on long journeys isnt easy and two clean sheets aswel shows our solidness at the back. Some fans need to realise it's been a lot crapper than this and It's not as bad as people are making out. A win on Saturday and everything seems a hell of a lot brighter but I think we shouldnt expect much in the league this year.
  23. The idea that people won't move from the Chaddy isnt as strong as people might think. Loads have moved in the past couple of years mainly to the Lookers. The Chaddy End was outsung a few years ago by the RRE when the club decided to open it up for 1 game to people who thought it should be the new stand to be in. Only when the club forced fans to sit in it and leave the Chaddy then there was problems. Simple really, when we pull the Lookers down the club should state that this shall be the 'official' singing area however they arent forcing fans to leave the Chaddy. Soon, if it all goes well, the singers in the Chaddy might want to join in and decide to move too. I think though that we should be given the large part of the RRE as we'd have more freedom to move about, plus a better view of the game. Theres a few large banners aswel knocking about now which would look the dog's Boll*cks all spread out behind the goal. The question is though would the club do it? Should do really - better atmosphere, higher sales of beer and it might encourage a few more part timers to turn up more.
