  1. Shez said last week that he wouldnt take it because he's not experienced enough yet. Load of rubbish don't believe it.
  2. A few sarky comments compared to the mass hate of the shirt sure everyone loves it!
  3. Imagine going into a pub with that yellow shirt on? You'd be the laughing stock of the town! I hope someone who works at Latics are reading this post as I've not seen one post in 4 pages that says they like it. I wont be buying one so theres 40 notes gone Hardy!
  4. Speaking of part time fans- outside the ground on the way out, two lads from Oldham were discussing the game and both agreed that the big black lad at the back played really wel and one of them was so sure that he was called Stam!
  5. They should of advertised a singing section! I'll be sat with all the George Hill moaners now..
  6. The ticket office in person isnt the best either. Improved since Gay statto was there but I dread going to collect tickets at dinner because they seem to take for ever to pass over tickets. I've never phoned them up to get tickets but I can imagine what it'd be like! I'd email Corney/Blitz as it's their club and the potential of losing customers over something so easy to sort out would really annoy them. Won't be long though till we get our new big shiney stand and all the problems will go away..hopefully.
  7. No No No.. just keep Boundary Park as the name, just because were re-developing it, it doesnt mean it's a different ground. When we built RRE we didnt want a name change so nae bother know eh!
  8. They'll give us about 6000 tickets I can see that being enough. If not I'd happily go in the Everton end if I had too!
  9. 1. They don't like football. 2. They don't like intergrating. 3. There still scared of if they come they'll get abused. 4. Those that do like 1 & 2 watch Manchester United. No point in forcing it upon them because they won't turn up. We've just got to aim for the potential who might get into Latics from the white area's in Oldham and other local regions.
  10. "We are all gutted and we have no further desire to work with the council. This has been four years in the making and it all ends here." It shouldn't though. Once last attempt with an appeal may proove successful so why give up now? Obviously he's going to be upset but who isnt? Come on Simon don't let the council win!
  11. To get so close to a positive decision and the fact that we only need to persuade two councillors to vote yes then I can't see the owners backing down on this one!

  14. I've emailed Councillor Roger Hindle and politely asked for his reasons why he voted against the development and what would change his mind if an appeal was put to the board again. We shall wait for a reply..
  15. "Also, there was some debate about The Clayton Sports Hall (those ameneties that were mentioned above) being demolished and not replaced in the new plans. One Councillor said this should not happen as it was depriving children of a place to enjoy Sport. The fact nobody has noticed that it has been closed for a year - and far more importantly that it is a Privately owned facility and therefore none of the business of The Council - means the subject should not even have been on the table." If they argue about losing sports facilities they are surely contradicting themselves as the club was going to build a new changing room facility for the Clayton fields, by rejecting the proposal they don't get this therefore people who want to participate in sport lose out! Sounds to me that it dragged out too long last night and therefore rushed into a decision when they wanted to put it off for another meeting. I would think that an appeal would prove successfull.
  16. Very annoying indeed. Why can't they just say we agree with the plans until the Highway Agency decides whether or not it's ok. After the England game I was hoping for some better luck but as usual that never happens. Ah well at least its not a No eh!
  17. It should be brought back as there is nothing wrong with 'safe standing'. If you look at the German games they have no trouble what so ever and they have massive safe standing terraces. The only reason why the FA and other associations don't want it to be introduced is because they know they will lose money because it would be cheaper to get in. Politicians jump on the band wagon so currently they agree with 'ohh it'll just cause another Hillsborough..' but they'll be straight onto the 'introduce it' if it'll get them votes.
  18. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=wgpzk2P6l9o Must of come off his line a yard and nothing that would make you think that Crossley was cheating. The linesman actually gave it not the ref I think? Good angle this video from behind the goal.

    Mr. J. Moss

Not a bad ref to be fair to him! I could see why Walsall were a bit miffed with him as most of the decisions went our way. He gave the penalty which was a clear pen but many others wouldnt of give it as you get a lot of grabbing in the box.
  20. In reply to Scunnys version on the news of Lee Nobes going.. "Who needs our physio we've got mourinho"
  21. Poor ref for both sides. Made it very personal between him and Lee Hughes and was itching at a chance to send him off. The red card wasnt a red and I couldnt of been closer, maybe his intent wasnt right but he still took some of the ball and Davies over reacted. Numerous times in the game I was going mad at him for things I can't remember know but at the time I was fuming. Seemed to be a Uriah Rennie type ref where he wanted all the attention on him..
  22. Will it be able to cope with the extreme weather elements at Oldham? It's 2nd hand aswell so It won't be in the best of form will it!
  23. Id say it was Arsenal's that thing was about the same size as what the club have said. Maybe we'll get tourists from North London just to see the screen!
  24. Whens the last time we won when conceeded a goal first? I know it wasnt last year..
  25. I thought that Rovers looked more like a team whilst we were a team full of strangers not knowing where people would want the ball or what moves they were going to make. I can see already that Ricketts is gonna be the boo boy's favourite victim this season as he's not what the fans want. I think you have to understand he's a totally different player to Davies who can chase the ball down whilst Ricketts hopefully will be the player who can hold the ball up and set up a goal like he tried to at Carlisle. I think we needed to bring Smalley on about 10mins earlier as I dont think Liddells crosses were any good. I couldn't believe he missed that shot though?! But I'd rather it was him as he's got the excuse of being young If it were Ricketts that would of missed I think he would be being slated to hell today!
