I wonder if all of this is the reason why the Lincoln game is pay on the gate? .. I know they're supposed to have a decent 'end' for us all to go into, and I know it's on TV and Monday night etc .. but could that still of not been a risk of over capacity and therefore trouble etc etc .. just wondering if it's anything more than a coincidence!

probably like most that spotted what was going on, that part of the match was utterly ignored whilst we watched it all unfold. As soon as they drove the ambulance on then we knew it was serious. I wish a speedy recovery and the very best of wishes to the man and hope he's soon back watching Latics.

I think it was 3 games for £15 iirc ... with all the complaints the club eventually 'listened' and gave renewals a voucher to get the new home shirt for £20 .. a gesture at least, but alas as you say by then some had chosen not to part with their money!

Didn't Bouzanis do something similar against Everton to let Matt Smith in for his header? He used his hands a little more than he probably should have risked doing, but a great show of team work all the same.

most ridiculous rule ever! if the player is close to or doing it in front of opposing fans/players/squad and royally rubbing it in then fair do's - I suppose Jordan Obita was close to doing that when he scored against Everton and stood in front of their fans thinking they were Latics ha ha ha

That's exactly what I've done this season too! I used to plan my work holiday entitlement out around Latics home games and I reckon I probably used to use about the equivalent of a week off, and that's before any postponed games! I'm away in less than a fortnight and I'm not even sure how many I'm missing whilst away .. I'll also be missing a months worth whilst in NZ during Feb/Mar next year but haven't even looked to see whixh teams they are! The decision to not bother booking anytime off this season is simply down to the apathy you mention .. it really pisses me off when I finish a night shift, get to bed around 7am then up around lunch to watch the inevitable drivel served up at what was once a fortress! .. I then also leave the game, grab some dinner and back know to work for another 12 hour night shift having had little sleep! I figure until they put a shift in like I believe I do then I won't be bothering and take the week of time off on a cruise ship somewhere instead! I've always said, that people who stay away won't come back unless the product on offer is absolutely impossible to pass up on ... there's a million reasons why people stay, but only ONE reason you make the effort to go back!

I think his remit is simple .. Failure - Relegation Success - Survival ... if you add 'Dream' to the list then that'd have to be - Playoffs or better! I personally would like option 3 .. but I don't think we can expect more than options 1 or 2!

I've been thinking about this myself too .. bearing in mind our late start so to speak, could this have just held us back enough not to push the result over the line in our favour? hopefully like you say, with the 'break' till Saturday we can rest and maybe start to get some results and move up the table!

Isn't Nicola White bringing her gold medal to ISZ on Saturday also? .. I've seen it advertised somewhere, but I'd of thought that alone would possible bring a few neutrals along! Working myself (couldn't get any more time off due to holidays I've had/got booked) but I hope she gets a standing ovation from everyone when she does - awesome achievement!
