2nd goal killed it today. Not surprised how it came about because I think we have all been waiting all season for it to happen. Having said that I thought 2nd half RW got it wrong tactically. I could have played centre half for pompey today without too much effort. I would have taken Fane off and put Hunt on wide and left McLaughlin on. Stretched their back 4 more and thrown more balls into the box and put more pressure on them. We went down without a fight. Powder puff stuff and worrying at this stage of the season.

Most worrying is that 2 weeks running we haven't turned up and were into the last 6 weeks of a relegation battle. No game now until Wigan and by the next home game we could be in the bottom 4.

The biggest disappointment is that we have raised a potential England star without cashing in financially . Good luck Tarky.

1st half Byrne played wide right and it just doesn't suit his game. Second half he played more central and both he and the team look better for it. Got out of jail today, Placide saves and Davies goal completely out of the blue probably dejected Bury more than it lifted us. 2 home games are very winnable and 6pts will take a lot of pressure off.

I seem to remember one year that quite a few latics fans got locked out , it was ironic that whilst refusing thousands £s at the gate they had buckets collecting change!!!

Think the pitch will be playable as snow is a great insulator but whether the roads are passable is another matter. Just seen clip on bbc a news reporter on the M180 and its a no go zone.

VAR will always be contentious when opinion is involved. Show 10 experts a penalty decision and 5 will say def pen and the other 5 will say no way. Even on off sides it not so simple. I saw one on MOTD last week that didn't have var. Ball slipped through for midfield runner but the flag goes up for offside, back 4 & goalie stop but player puts ball in net. Replays show player is onside!!!! Whats the decision given when var is studied, defenders can rightly say the flag went up or do we ignore linesman in future, if so what's the point having them. The current goal line technology is as far as you can go without spoiling the game. Any other decisions need opinions from somebody and that takes time to formulate. Leave it as it is.

Well all know the problem with the main stand shadow, the big problem is the club are doing nothing about it. It's the same problem over & over again when the temperatures drop. The weather forecasts are more detailed these days and with the notice they get there is no excuse for this type of postponement. How many more before somebody has the nous to do something constructive instead of just throwing the covers on & hoping that area defrosts before kick off because the temperature will be 5° by then. Just confirms that we are still very amateurish in certain areas.

Must be contested surely. To get sent off for serious foul play involves contact with the opposition!!!

Whats frustrating its the same problem every time. We know latics can't control the weather, we know it's probably colder than other grounds, we know there is a strip that will freeze and not thaw in time. Yet we continue to lose games because of it. Poor poor management of the club that this problem continues and the scenes of pouring hot water onto the pitch make us look completely amateurish.

If they are in place early enough they don't have to defrost !!!

City have lamps on their pitch most of the winter months which replicates the suns heat.

Sure we could hire some heat lamps from city??

It the same old problem with latics pitch that we have had for years. Can't believe we have still not resolved it. Is it really that expensive to get some hot air blowers under the covers into that area in front of the main stand!!!!!

He will keep them up as only one place left really. Then to rub the salt in next season he will sign Doyle & Ripley!!

What was he doing in the opponents 6 yd box!!! He spent 95% of his time here giving the ball away in our half. Have we missed a trick?

You could argue he's kept us in league 1 all these years! !! When I look at the 2 leagues below us & see the team's in it I just think "there but for a lot of hard work & luck". Think we should just be glad & hope AL can bring the much needed change of direction.

I heard that because Pringle & Benyu are being paid by their parent clubs we can play them.Because Bryne & Mceleney have signed permanent we cant register them until the t/o is complete because if FFP rules!!

They can afford good advisors & lawyers!!!
