No , as always with these incidents the ref only EVER sees the retaliation never the initial incident. Sooner have Gerrard missing for 2 games rather than Clarke though but lets hope he learns from it.

Well he has been on the pitch twice for us and not let us down once. First time he came on against Coventry and for me did a good job in giving their centre half a game for the last 20 min. Last night he came on and did a very good job in taking the pressure off our defence and caused them a lot of problems with his holding up etc. Given the situation were in and a player coming on and giving his all (even for 20min) is something to be grateful for. Can't believe the idiots on here who call him !!!!

The real problem was a ref not being able to tell the time !!!!!

Think the win at Chesterfield determined our approach at MK. Great win and 3 priceless points, with them in the bag i think Shez thought 4 point return from those 2 games would have been job done. It didn't work out but i am sure that we will be going for it at home as best we can with the players at our disposal. Every club in the land wants a striker that scores goals but unfortunately this season we have been last in line for that.

Yeh but on Sat the sending off galvanised the crowd which in turn got the team going. Had he stayed on it may well have finished a drab 0-0. Someone said earlier , at 90 min in both games we had a point in each and we would have gladly taken it, we ended up with 3 !!!!

Well he was after the Bradford game , the ones in the know that watched him that day criticised his performance after that game yet today he was even worse. They should be suspended and retrained . IF this was a premier league refs performance can you imagine the experts on MOTD !!!!! At least now it doesn't sound like sour grapes but my oh my that was one biased and extremely poor ref performance and should definitely be questioned , the only saving grace was he didn't find anything wrong with the goal otherwise there would have been a riot.

Great great win against not only 11 players but possibly the worst ref in living memory. How these guys can be watched and still allowed to ref is a complete mystery. How can you book a goalie for time wasting when he hasn't even got the ball !!! How can you book an injured player who is being helped off by the physio for time wasting . Yes Latics were running the clock down when they could but those 2 bookings were a complete joke by a joke ref. Great win Latics and what a fabulous following .

In all the years we have been in this league it is without doubt the weakest yet. Having said that it is also the poorest Latics side we have had in that time. The Dowie side or 1st Shez side would have walked this league by several points but there has been an overall downgrade of league 1 over the past 15 years. The difference now is that any decent manager who can put together even half an organised team could get a play off spot such is the small difference between the teams at the top and the bottom. That's why i am more optimistic now than ever before that if we can keep Shez and build on keeping a squad together (signing players like Gerrard and Holloway on longer term deals is a great start) then we can definitely challenge for a place at the top next season. Maybe Shez has come back because of the promise of Chinese investment soon , who knows but if it does come off then good times might not be too far away !!!

Penalties are given for incidents that happen inside the box , given that we only ever have 1 player , sometimes 2 on slow build up attacks , inside their box at any time then the chances of a penalty incident are extremely remote !!!!!! What odds going full season without one?

He lost his first 2 games last season so already better than that. Also after those 2 games we were 8 points adrift but now we are only 6 with 2 games in hand . 2 great positives to build on there !!

I'm a S/T holder (main stand) and i can't believe original post. My dad got me interested when i was young and he lifted me over the turnstyle for first 12 months. WHAT , 12 months free !!!!!!! Yeh but they have to start somewhere , Yes playing more entertaining football is the only way to get people to come back and stay back. That's not going to happen with the present squad , budget and current league position we have so we have to start by trying to get some money in to increase next years budget. Other than the knight swimming in the black stuff rolling through the door the only other way is to increase gates. Immediate future is staying in league 1 and getting the crowd behind Shez and the lads will help that and hopefully onwards and upwards from there. Yes we have seen it before but at least give the club some credit for trying.

Whilst Robbo was no doubt dealt an extremely poor hand he did play it very badly. Not just the results but the poor performances more than anything. Football based on the NI ethos doesn't work in the football league.

Yeh at the meet the manager night Mark Moisley def said that the second FL payment was due 1st Jan and any outstanding monies owed to clubs for loan / transfer/ticket monies would be deducted from it by the FL. Probably still trying to work it out !!!!

It stops you thinking about signing a player that you cant afford anyway !!!!

I'm sure when we went to the last meet the manager we were told that the 2nd half payment from the Football league funding is due 1st Jan . Any monies outstanding to others clubs re tickets / transfer fees etc is deducted from it so we should be clear 1st Jan. How much will be left after is anybodies guess !!!!!
