  4. What does worry me is that he never gains momentum as he never plays more than 3 or 4 games before picking up yet another knock. He's another Beckford or KIllen, won't play unless he's 100%. How often in a season are you going to be 100%? The lad's made of poppadums. Unplayable on his day but his lack of momentum and goals worries me over a 2 1/2 year deal. Given he's been 90% for a fortnight it concerns me. Hope proves me wrong next season, Erwin has this...
  5. Hilarious insult to your fellow fans Andy. Yes we have our fair share of nesbits but to tarnish us all as worthless, uneducated fuckwits is harsh.
  6. He would have loved that the atmosphere was wonderful in the Chaddy End today, proud blue today...
  7. I want to play an extract of the Sheff Wed commentary at dad's funeral next Friday. i have the full 7minutes but need to get the first 3 mins 20 secs onto a CD with other stuff we're going to use. Burning the cd is no problem but I'm wondering if anyone can edit me the first 3 mins 20 of that clip and send it me? it'd be much appreciated
  8. Transfer over to the trust or group action simples?
  9. Having seen him a few times he looked Too lightweight, he was clean through a couple of times in the LSC v Man U and Everton and wasted the chances badly. Came on for the first team and he was very weak. Shame given his goals record but let's not get carried away he was doing this against other kids. We have to trust Shez and if he was that good why wasn't he loaned out ala Edmundson, Stott etc... TP will have had input here too. I can see Shez wanting to use every penny of his budget and he's bound to be looking for a couple of goalscorers. The kid sounds confident on twitter I hope he does prove us wrong. Personally I can't see it. Good luck to him...
  10. Bolton will be nervy for them next week as they could clinch second then 3 games against teams without anything to play for...
  11. An excellent day to out on such a performance. We won at a canter, superb cross for the first, tremendous second and Ollie Banks juggling cantonaesque (spit) worth the admission alone. Dad would have enjoyed that... Fleetwood awful..
  12. Dad defied the odds for over a week, he decided his fight was over at 3.30pm yesterday. thanks for all your good wishes I really mean it. His love of all things blue and white will live on through me and his grandkids. Today will be a tough one but I'll be there. It's what dad would have wanted.
  13. Scary thing was he was 22, not a kid by any means. The fact he only played 5 games for us 22 years ago and he immediately pops into my head shows how truly utter shite he was!
  14. Wilkinson destroyed Bristol city at Ashton gate in march 2004, so much so they nobbled him. Grade A toss bag though. Feigned injuries and always out on the piss. Remember several conversations some JK Latics stalwarts had with him. Thought he'd made it and the effort stopped there. Talbot saw through it and binned him... was a talent though.
  15. Glenn Bekezika - I thought he was raw but ok. Kept our fair share of clean sheets with him in the line up but he was all arms and legs. surely lord kangana was worse?
  16. Neil Moore awful defender cost us one or two goals a game. Came from Everton on Sharvey's recommendation. Thank goodness Simon Webster cane in and replaced him. Now he was an animal...
  17. Thanks for the good wishes ladies and gents. And despite our many differences of opinion your PM laticspete was very well appreciated. It's football at the end of the day and despite all our whingeing we are just one big dysfunctional Latics family. As for dad he fights on, there's no change he's still in a coma but he's still here. Thanks again...
  18. Clubs are loathe to sack him - at Barnsley he had a £500k pay off built into his deal. Hard to believe there wouldnt be at least that at Brizzle, explains why he seems to get longer than most when on a shit run...
  19. I was not renewing 100% (I know I say it every year - this year I wasn't, didn't even have the money) then dad fell seriously ill last week. So ill we'd pretty much said our good byes on Friday night. Friday before dad was moved to the ICU and before he suffered his cardiac arrest and before being put into a medically induced coma he told me to go to Southend. " don't worry about me I want you to go, you should go. You're a Latics fan it's what you do" As dad deteriorated through the night I knew I wouldn't go to Southend and we got home at 3am after being at hospital for 15 hours knowing it could be curtains for him. After getting about two hours kip, we rang to see if he had survived the night. He had, and I renewed my season tickets first thing Saturday morning. Why? As you know I've simply had it with the doom and gloom and lack of a Plan or hope, but dad passed on his love of Latics to me and as the outlook for him is grimmer than grim, multiple organ failure and there's several machines at the moment keeping him alive. He needs a miracle, until his illness kicked in over the last 10 years we'd go home and away together most weeks and despite my loathing for the current regime I can't throwaway a bond developed through dad over 31 seasons. I know when the time comes for him i'll never be closer to him than when I'm at boundary park on a Saturday afternoon... i can't let that go, I just can't...
  20. Yeah sorry for a crazy period in my 20s I was too busy humping, boozing or working....
  21. Before that used to record them on my notes app per season, then soccerbase then ground hopper currently at 1016 competitive
  22. Since relegation in 1997 we've played 1037 competitive games after Saturday's defeat inc TWO abandonments... I've been to 794 of them... equates to missing 10 games a season. Not too bad
