  1. don't think the club have got as far as the design of it yet, you plum
  2. Not that I want to hear again, but I always wonder why it's never heard at Latics. You can't say it's because it's crap due to all the other stuff they play.
  3. Think its meant to do the opposite. Did anyone watch the Football League show yesterday? It has Peter "I turned Latics down" Risdale on saying that Cardiff City needed to move it is was to make any money. I think the show also said that 30 of the 40 (okay, I can't remember the exact number) top teams in English football had moved into new grounds and that was key to the success. I don't know why Oldham fans are always so cynical. Okay, we've been promised new grounds before, but I'm sure there's not a chairman in the world that says a process like this isn't a easy one. Nothing in property ever runs to plan and anyone with an ounce of a brain should know that.
  4. He got a groin injury yesterday. Was sat in the first row of RRE and you see he pointing to it and Robophysio doing some groin stretches. Hopefully, just a twinge and nothing too serious....
  5. IH brings sponsorship to the club (R&D have been key sponsors of the club over recent years) and property experience, assisting to drive all stadium plans forward. I would presume that he's been key at bringing revenue into the club including things like the telephone masts attached to the floodlights. The NHS also rent the car parking land from the club, so I'd suggest that it's him that sorts the lease out, along with the acquisition of the Clayton Arms and the managemtn and tender of the demolition work. I'd suggest with all the property work involved with the club at the minute, he brings more to the table than many think....all against the backdrop of him trying to manage (and perhaps stay afloat considering the marketplace) R&D.
  6. has any of your predictions ever been proven right?....and when the 9-12 slot duly disappears tomorrow, can you kindly keep your pap off these boards. (cue luck of the draw that eventally one prediction is gonna come good).
  7. I don't actually think the Barry Owen £12M figure was a typo....if you look at similar (recent) developments, I would have thought that £12M was about right. The £20M cost actually released is probably the likely cost of the whole development I would have thought.
  8. Can't believe that nothings really been said about the game......! How many tickets have Stockport sold? (Presuming that it is all ticket for them lot?)
  9. I'm personally nearly creaming my pants to be honest! Can't wait! C'mon Oldham! C'mon Oldham! C'mon Oldham!
  10. I take it that you picked it up today around 2pm then?! I'd expect more of a rush on the tickets tomorrow before the game, I might be wrong, but I'd be surprised if the event doesnt sell out. Maybe the Friends of Moston Brook won't be as vocal as I thought....(which won't be a bad thing!).
  11. eh? are you real? there's some pap spoken on this board, but this takes the biscuit.
  12. first decent post i've ever seen from you. on a separate issue, I sincerely hope that someone from these forums who is attending the event actually stands up and praises the proposals. like has been said on here before, as the majority of people who are 'okay' with the plans won't bother to attend, i'd imagine that the crowd will be perhaps 10% for and 90% against. with the Chron successfully turning what was meant to be a positive story into a negative non-event, and the forum likely to turn into nothing but a platform for locals and the anti-brigade to have a moan, i'm sure that T4A will be well pleased that they've decided to invest huge amounts of their personal wealth in providing modern facilities for the fans. it makes it all worthwhile...... (and no, i'll be on holiday before someone suggests that the person should be me).
  13. don't reck eardley will be here by weekend, so swap him for holdsworth and you might just be right.
  14. i thought exactly the same....... I do think County will struggle this year, buy it'll definately suit them that it's a derby (obviously), should have decent support and it's the first game of the season when theres all to play for....cudda do with this a bit more towards the middle of the season when they've maybe taken a few beatings and morale is low. oh well, c'mon!!!!
  15. The thing what concerns me is that if we build a 12 thousand seater stadium, will that mean we will 12 thousand available seats for every game. Has segregation been taken into account? It wouldn't surprise me if there is a reason why our capacity is reduced to even less.
  16. Well, I'm suspecting that if you baulking at £220 for a cardigan, then your Stone Island coat is well and truly an ebay snider......
  17. Considering OWTB's were claiming to be the official fans of the masters. Will anyone from the board be releasing a full apology for the actions of the people they were representing?
  18. I've got a headache, but it's more from getting smacked outside Sinclairs rather than the beer which was drunk
  19. You won't prevent trouble completely even with them measures. Because the game isn't organised by the F.A., football banning orders do not apply. It gives people the opportunity to settle old scores against rivals with plenty of pubs to choose to mob up in.
  20. might be a option for latics fans living in rochdale/castleton/mills hill
