  1. For all the ‘ these are awful’ brigade. My fear hasn’t got nothing to do with playing a load of plumbers and brickes. It’s more to do with our clubs ability to find and embrace new lows, both on and off the pitch. I’d snatch your hand off for 1-0 win now, and yes- we are THAT shit.
  2. Indeed. Not looking forward to it. We’ve got shock written all over us.
  3. ? I think the premier league would just put our 10p back in the pot. There will be football at BP in years to come, but it won’t be secured by the authorties. It never is. It will be the unpalatable status quo- the OEC and the football club both need each other.
  4. That’s not you what you said. You said. The authorties would never allow us to go bust. Thats very different to administration and a buyer. Which is what I alluded to, and presumes somebody would be willing to buy us. It’s got nothing to with the authorities. The football club has got nothing to do with blitz and Gazal, they just happen to own a stand on a football ground. If the football club can’t pay its way, and no buyer can be found it folds. The authorities do not and have never saved a club. So again. What specifically would the authorities do to stop us from going bust? The answer is nothing.
  5. How would the authorities stop us going to the wall? Bournemouth were minutes from going bust, no sign of the authorities. Just the usual cheque from a local businessman.
  6. He if won’t speak to them, he defintley won’t respond to emails. But I understand your sentiment. Good point about going public, as long as they didn’t leave themselves open to breaking confidentiality agreements. My impression of Barry is that as long as he’s got a role at the club he won’t rock the boat. Self gratification over the bigger picture.
  7. What’s your point? Just ask him anyway? Even though he won’t talk to them. . .
  8. Oh I agree. But if he wont talk to you, because you’ve upset him. Then your talking to yourself.
  9. Catch 22. Ask one difficult question- and it’s your last. Smile and keep him close in the hope of information- be accused of not holding him to account.
  10. Agreed. I think they’ll always be a team from Oldham. In what guise or what league I’m not sure anymore. But I certainly think the idea of the club folding and BP becoming bulldozed, just leaving the OEC is remote in the extreme. Can you imagine trying to sell space or events at the OEC without the football club. It would be a 6/7 million write off for Blitz. The PR for it would be horrific. ‘Come and enjoy a Dinner at the OEC this weekend, where you can enjoy views of where the football club used to be.’ Nah
  11. I’m just pleased that it might force his hand a bit. It probably wont like, but we live in hope.
  12. If we could a have a little cup run, we could possibly sign one or two in Jan. . This hope means we’ll lose. All the best.
  13. You contradict yourself Bristol. Your last line says it all, the reason people are unhappy is because we haven’t played like that in every game. People don’t expect to hammer sides, but they do expect an intent to win the game. If we had played like we did tonight throughout the season- even with a similar points total, people would be far happier IMO.
  14. The title is very obvious, some might say childish. . Still makes me laugh. ?
  15. Of course. I totally agree. Thats exactly my point. If and when we can pay wages on time for 12 months, that’s when I’ll start to think we’re on the right track. In addition, we all know that when it’s going well behind the scenes it often reflects on the pitch- which is what we all want.
  16. Thanks for clarifying the wages situation. . Of course it’s better there paid. Who’s arguing it isn’t? Equally though it’s not a cause for optisim that the wages have been paid. It’s a basic requirement, that this month we’ve met. (Sorry the club has) ? Let’s hope it continues for a lot longer.
  17. No. I don’t. People can’t make a point without insulting people they don’t know. It’s annoying. They then miss the complete irony, in coming on a forum and calling poeople dickheads without realising how that makes them look themselves. He says people claiming they are in the know. Where? Who’s said that? The only person we all acknowledge has any credibility being in the know is Sinnot. So he’s talking nonsense. He then claims people want to be proved right about how shit things are. Yes. People want us to be shit. Ok. Or is it just fans discussing concerns about the club with other fans a forum. This month has been paid. Good. However justifiable concerns remain. Onto to Saturday.
  18. Dear me. Dickheads- really? The same can be said of ‘dick heads’ who think all is rosy because we paid the wages on time. There is nothing ‘in the know’ about it. The owner himself said there is issues with wages. This month there isn’t. Great. Hope it continues. But let’s not start playing with ourselves because we’ve managed to do a very basic thing.
