Despite him being disliked by manay Alan Hardy deserves a mention, the man has given most of his life to the club and been there and seen everything over the best part of 30 years. I'm sure the fact the club is being run by an old friend was a big part of Joe's reasoning to return.

I'm suprised that no-one has included Ian Wood - 524 appearances in blue and he still holds the record for the most number of apperances for latics.

Precisely, Ian Wood is top of my list. True professional. Great right back and chipped in with the odd goal now and again too.
