Nick Griffin on Question Time

So, what do you want?

Do you want Asians expelled?

Do you want people to be stopped from entering the Country?

Do you want priority over people who aren't white?

Tell us what you think should happen.

I'm not a politician, I have only viewed concerns about this country being taken over by Islam.

you don't listen do you mate. I'm not practicing Christian because I don't go to Church. I don't have a view about God.

And your seriously suggesting it is the Muslims who threaten "our" Christian beliefs ? Even though you don't hold Christian belief's...

You seeing the hypocrisy in your argument yet?

"My opinion is that our identity and Christian beliefs are being destroyed by aggressive Muslims. Do I have to keep repeating myself?????"

Well, what the hell are your Christian beliefs.

I have them, but I don't have a problem with Muslims. Why do you? What specifically do they do wrong?

Do you think it is fair to take the views of Islam4UK as being representative of the general Muslim community?

How about this for a bit of balance...

I know what your saying... I was just pointing out the scare tactics used in the media.

Not destroying Christian beliefs but reading articles like this don't help me to think differently

Muslim law in Britain

So one extreme UK Muslim group says it would like to impose Sharia Law in the UK.

There are extreme Christian groups in the UK who would like to impose the teaching of Creationism in our schools, ban the teaching of evolution, ban homosexuality and bar women priests. That doesn't mean such views are held by all the UK's Christians.

Do you actually know much about Sharia Law? It isn't all abuse of women and chopping people's hands off, you know. One area of progress we have made in the UK is to consider the voluntary use of Sharia Law within a Muslim community as a convenient and non-litigious way to settle disputes. But of course the alarmists got hold of that idea and tried to tell us we'd soon be seeing public floggings in Rusholme...

But... having read it in its entirety I reckon you'll be against it being implemented here (not that it ever will be).

Entirely hypothetical - the UK would have to become a Muslim state for that to happen. And a radical one at that - it isn't even implemented in full in many existing Muslim states.

Personally, as an atheist, I would probably choose never to live in a Muslim state so am unlikely ever to subject myself to the full extent of Sharia Law.

As a male, it's a bloody great law. It's like having a rainbow party every day.

As a human though, I'm not in favour. I wouldn't say it's ruined my life, but I've been hindered shall we say. This may have made my impression less than good.

I find it slightly fitting that oafc0000 lauded the Question Time treatment of shonky eye so much earlier. So much so he's replicated it here, almost carbon copy-like. Go on Jack0000! Give it 'em! They don't like it up 'um!

Anyway, bowl seems a bit deluded bless him, but surely 0000 would get the message after 12 pages that it's an arguement you ain't ever going to win. Such crushing persistance, it's enough to make even the corp fluster.

Back on topic, and QT in particular. I found it really odd, and quite disappointing that no-one, and in particularly Sloth, neglected to switch the focus to Jack Straw's real skeleton in the cupboard and his relatively recent anti-burka stance, with a hint of fascism. A bit galling given the hypocrasy he was showing by beating Griffin round the head repeatedly with the morality stick.

I disagree... I think bowl is starting to see the light... I wont say sorry for having the discussion....

Having an opinion on the Burka is hardly a skelton in the closet. It is not a requirement under their faith. Just like wearing a cross is not a requirement for a Christian.

The bigger skeleton is the Tory bint (NB. I'm actually a Tory) going from "I'm against civil marriages", to "If they love each other....etc. Complete hypocritical nonsense.

No boo's though.

Griffin says he finds it a bit 'creepy', then follows a bunch of boo's.

That said it all about the BBC.

NB. I'm intruigued. Is it possible to have an anonymous vote about gay male kisses on TV? I'm not sure that many would be finding it 'not creepy or 'fast forwardable on video'. Some of the stuff he said wasn't stupid, hence why he gets voted for. I'll be honest, I don't like seeing it. Does it make me bad? I don't wish death, or seperation upon gay people. I've got on with five gay people in my time (aliright it's not loads), but I don't like seeing two men kissing. Does this make me homophobic? Maybe. But is there a half decent homphobe? I just don't know.

Let's have it right, Nick Griffin has an opinion like that and he's instantly the devil incarnate. Maybe not quite like a grisly secret of Jack's, but it was still highly prejudicial (actually his words were he didn't want them to wear them in public when he was around). I just found it suprising that wonky eye never picked up on it and threw it back but it probably highlights how transparently stupid he is more than anything.

I get the feeling a lot of people have never seen Question Time before... Every week the audience is usually made up of people who hate Labour and offer a barrage of boos... This week Griffin took Labours place as the most disliked element...

Anyway, I am off to bed, fingers crossed for a win tomoz :D

I personally do not think its "prejudice"... Jack has made some good comments on the security and communication aspects of the Burka. I find it amazing when so many Christians get angry for being expected to not wear crosses to work. The are a health and safety risk... Deal with it

Regarding Nick Griffin... There is a difference between someone making comments from the background of a socialist part that preaches equal treatment for all... When someone comes along who the background of being a fascist and a racist and starts stating someone should not wear a burka because he dose not agree with these musilms practising their faith in his country (most of nicks opinions are like this).. then that gets some stick...

Anyway, my sleep is being delayed :)

Night all...god bless

The problem with Griffin's comments was that they were a bit bizarre in response to the question - he was asked "Should the Daily Mail have published Jan Moir's article on Stephen Gately?", and responded by saying that he didn't think homosexuality should be taught in primary schools (the national curriculum's livened up a bit since i was a kid, apparently) and he thought two men kissing was creepy.

i'm not sure that not wanting to watch two men kissing automatically makes you homophobic (there's a difference between 'it's sick and wrong and shouldn't be allowed' and 'i'd rather not watch it'),but do you find two women kissing equally repulsive? Cos you should at least be consistent.

I haven't got any evidence. I said at the beginning I don't want the country becoming a Muslim state. You asked me why it would, and all I can say is I don't think White people's beliefs and traditions are took into consideration. It's political correctness gone mad!

House!

OAFC0000

Mass immigration... Do you realise the benefits this country gets from immigration ?

We benefit from immigration. We do not benefit from the mass immigration witnessed. Plenty of older generation immigrants who have enriched this country agree so get your head out of the sand mate.

Mass scrounging... The scrounging happens across all communities...and I would hardly describe it as \"mass\"...

You are so obsessed with racist you wrongly assumed I meant immigrants when the post never said such. We have white trash and immigrant trash. they are all trash to me

Extremisim is to obvious to explain and racism against whites is happening, so is sexism against men if Harmen has her way.

I am a war objector... Who the hell wants war ?? and your happy to think less of someone for stuff other people have done ?

No I think less of someone who defends the right to be a war objector when our country was threatened and attacked, and then send our troops to die and get maimed in illegal wars so think before typing mate!!!!!

Can you imagine if Griffins Dad was a war objector, his brother on the sex register for indecent assualt , and his son had for cannabis??? The press would have destroyed him so why not Straw?? And today the press are attacking Griffins dad for being in the RAF ground crew. They are pathetic and simply help the BNP which is not good!!

As for race hate crimes there is no even balance in publicity

Panorama is a disgrace because it had no balance. You cannot run a program lke that and then not carry out the same experiment with whites in a muslim ghetto. You are asking for shouts of bias

As for your comment on mates being black. Like I said you don't know me, don't know my friends, and don't know what volounteer work I do in the community

As for the 3 main parties I would tighten up immigration, give power back to parents, teachers, police, courts to sort out the scum before they move on to bigger crimes and I would totally change the tax and benefits system to support the family which has collapsed under labour with the result being a broken society

Off out not to footy but you are clearly very narrow minded believing anyone who disagrees is racist and that is what is wrong in this country

Well this has livened up a tad.....

My very shrewd mother once said, "never have an 'argument' about politics or religion" - after reading many posts on this, very wise words..... :tongue1:

Bact to the BBC however, the ratings must have been improved and the discussion since massssiiivvveeee!

Whether you believe it to be a good job or not,I'd say they did their job.
