leeslover
It's the Kieron Lee syndrome all over again, things aren't going well so the guy who doesn't play for us is clearly the man to turn it round. I think my brother hit it on the head (stopped clock and all that) when he predicted devastation when Purdie gets fit and doesn't score 9 goals in his first game. Bring Back Ronnie Moore
We never did release the "I was there when Chris O'Grady had his shot on target" T-shirts. We never did release the "I was there when Oldham won the F.A Cup" T-shirts, either. On a serious note...Just when is Purdie expected to be fit, anybody know?

Senor_Coconut
On a serious note...Just when is Purdie expected to be fit, anybody know? From the Chron Rob Purdie was back in to see a specialist yesterday as he bids to overcome a long-standing pelvic injury. Could mean he's gone in to be given the all clear or because he's still ***ked.
Alec1954
Don't know if it has been mentioned above buy my rumour monger informs me that O'Grady went for £92k and that Dale had to borrow the money from Kilpatrick who wants it repaid if they go up. I really hope that his goals dry up, afterall he has a contract now, and Dale don't get promoted. Not being vindicitive, but I just want to see if all the people that said O Grady was the saviour are the same ones that then mock Dale! aidan_latics
I'd of like to have seen him given more of a chance at oldham - he's found his form at dale and how do we know whether he'd of been able to transfer it league one. I think he's just needed a few games under his belt. We've hardly had the strongest front line this season and I think he could done a job for us now. I heard Penney on the radio saying he was going to come back to us after his loan spell finished and that he still had a role to play at oldham. I hope they got a decent amount for him but doubt it seen as dale aren't exactly rolling in the dough!
andyb
Even though i agree he was pretty bad in his short spells and games he played for the club, is it just me that thinks however bad he was before. He's a striker thats found his form now for whatever reason and in our state atm would have been worth having him back for half a season, I mean what had we got to lose if we brought him back. Maybe he would have carried on that good form for us, if not everyone could slate him and we sell at the end of the season. anybody????? shefflatic
we bought him in on a record of 12 in 55 for rotherham!!! add to that 0 in 20 odd for 3 clubs and suddenly 12 in 21, hardly awe inspiring (neither is paker's record by the way) but COG in the chances he was given never really looked a 'striker' he can hold it up but that is it, he is never in the box and luckily for him dale have found away to get him going. Ill take 90k, good luck to him, not right for us but right for dale's needs. ok he is scoring for dale but he cant hack it in league 1, be interesting to see how he does next year but i bet he doesnt get more than 8-10. he has gone. penney/the board have made their decision and we have got a decent deal out of it. Give me abbott with heffernan alongside him and functioning wing areas to get crosses in any day. razza699
but COG in the chances he was given never really looked a 'striker' but he was barely given a chance, why keep giving these :censored:e loan signings a chance when we could have given our own players a chance IMO a run of 3 or 4 games is a good time to start judging a striker not the odd game here and there

He'd have gone on a free. Whereas some are saying he has found his form, others are saying he has found his level.
Macca
He scored a cracker in the reserves last season, lots of power bullet. He was a player who you brought on at the end to close the game up, he did that superbly. I don't mind selling a player on at a profit, its what we need to be doing. It didn't work out for O'Grady, it's a shame. Bring in Heffernan!

Even Smalley. And Brooke. If we have got 92k, I'm sure Simon Corney is laughing his c**k off. He once told one of my friends that he is likely to get a chance before O Grady, shows how well thought of O Grady was. (Royton Blue Lad will confirm this story)
Zorrro
You're intimating that Simon Corney knows more than nowt about football. I can't take you seriously.

Macca
Anyways big question is? When he plays against us do we Clap or Boo?
Bring Back Ronnie Moore
Since he'll be playing for Rochdale and that he didn't do anything significant for us, we boo. Although no death chants.
BRAT
Anyways big question is? When he plays against us do we Clap or Boo? As he his likely to be playing in a division above us next season I don't think that the question is really relevant.
