welshgaz
Who would take him? Realistic target and will be well known to our management. For me he would be a great addition if he was willing to take a huge wage cut. I would assume most would stay clear?

palmer1
If a player has to take a massive pay cut then we can assume he is not a realistic target! no matter how old he is, if knows the management or if he has not played that many games recently we can’t afford him and if we have Kuqi and Smith next season we won’t need Howard
welshgaz
Hopefully kuqi will be off leaving a gap to fill. Howard didnt come into the game till 25 and has plenty of life in him.
laticdickovarmy
No for me, too expensive If we are going to spend £2-3000 on a player a week he has to play every game so would rather went on a younger player, we do need a striker but he is similar to Kuqi I would rather the money were spend on a real solid centre-half and a two creative players, whilst im not a fan of kuqi sometimes we need to look at just how little we create

Just because eyres came into the game late! Not everyone can play into their 40’s For one he is carrying a little more timber around and he hasn’t played regularly for a few years – maybe he doesn’t feel like he has years left

He has consistently caught the bench at leicster, not saying he is the answer but we have lacked any aggression up front, someone to gamble in the box and someone who knows what it takes to be successful at this level. Tommy_Fent
isn't he mates with Dickov and Taggart? He's currently the most used substitute in Leicester City History http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/Steve-Howard-sets-new-City-record/story-15431194-detail/story.html Edited May 9, 2012 by Tommy_Fent

oldhamandy1
We have this rumour for three summers and two seasons, not going to happen. We have Kuqi and Smith, one young with potential, the other an older player about same age, build etc. of Howard but better.

Snookmeister
I'd take Howard every day of the week. He would be a awesome addition at our level. Always seems to score against us as well iirc....... Don't think we could afford him though....
Lukers1
Brian Deane? Big fella, knows where the goal is, gotta be worth a punt. If we sign Tony Agana (saw his car at Latics) we should have a decent partnership.

Frankly Mr Shankly
What we need is a proper journeyman who knows where the net is. I hear Steve Claridge hasn't quite hung his boots up yet.

Crusoe
I can't believe nobody's mentioned Clive Mendonca. Must be better than Kuqi, Simpson and Messi rolled into one. Dickov out if he hasn't even been invited for a trial. Got to be worth a punt.
