smigger5
Mark Allott at Huddersfield. Bit of a forgotten goal. This one also Nick Henry away at Grimsby and anyone remember a Mark Brennan Goal Vs Chelsea at Home in Premier League from about half way. Bristolatic
Alan Groves cutting in from the right wing and unleashing a snorter across the Huddersfield keeper into the corner of the net. We won 6-0 and guaranteed promotion once we heard other results had gone our way IIRC. Can't remember what year it was - 1973/4? Prozac? Carlo Corazzin hitting the back of the West Ham net with a header past David James at Upton Park in the League Cup for us to win 1-0. Nobody gave us a hope in hell of winning that one and about 1,000 of us just went mental. 2002/3? Chris Taylor's stoppage time header in off the post to beat Millwall 3-2 at The New Den after we'd chucked a 2-0 lead away. By gum, we weren't half quiet on South Bermondsey station after that, then went mental again when we got out at London Bridge. Luke Beckett's goal at the National Hockey Stadium to beat the Dongs 1-0 in their own back yard. It was special because it really was the only shot we had in the entire game! leeslover
I liked both of Eardley's away at Crewe, not sure if I don't exagerate them as I'd been banging on about him playing in midfield though. Griff's might just be the most skilful of the lot though. Charlton's definitely showed the most vision/football brain. Furman's is a funny one, it was astonishingly good passing football but the goal still came from a (very good) :censored: from 30 yards with a defender backing off. Zorrro
Kilkenny's equaliser at Doncaster in 2007/08 first round replay was an outstanding strike but IIRC was never televised due to TV rights and the fact nobody bothered to show the first round replay goals that year. Does anyone else remember being there and that goal being something pretty special? I was there, remember it being a good effort but there have been many, many better. oafcprozac
A few of Allott's have been forgotten too v Bury one of his two late goals v Brentford in Jan '01 was a stunner (chipping it up, swivelling before smashing it over the keeper) Hudds away obviously
longtimeblue
Ritchies at Brighton away late 80s / early 90s, iirc he was facing the wrong way, flicked it over his head towards goal, turned and buried it. That's what I was gonna say...Think there was a nutmeg after his flick back over his head as well, absolute quality.
Dave_Og
Charlton's definitely showed the most vision/football brain. He said himself he was worried about how fast he was being closed down so just whacked it away as hard as he could

A feature we see far too little of in the modern footballer.

oafc-latics
Allott at Galpharm into the top corner was great. But Leeds hadnt lost at home for about a year and that was our first goal from Reuben. My favourite goal as a Latics fan.

oafcprozac
Nick Henry @ Chelsea our first goal in the Premiership and it was a 40 yarder. And the ball stopped to apologise before it dribbled over the line. He was just outside the centre-circle when he side-footed it home, even then it hit a huge divot but Beasant had already given up. He did it a few weeks before at Tranmere in a friendly that was hit with a bit more venom. Edited October 4, 2012 by oafcprozac

De_La_Vega
More power to the Reuben Hazell at Leeds and Adam Griffin efforts, but I'd also put forward Tony Carss versus Bristol City along with the first goals for us from Adrian Littlejohn and the Welsh Michael Owen Tipton. oafcprozac
Liddell scored a nice one, cutting inside, exchanged a pass and drilled it in - can't remember who against? Lidds scored a beaut v Chesterfield in his second home game. The one he smashed in at Swindon was pretty decent. The one you're referring was v Bristol City possibly in the 4-3.
