jsslatic
Having carefully studied the form book I have decided to go for a horse priced between 10 and 25/1 and has the best name.

stargazer
Right, mine are on early doors : On His Own @ 7/1 to win Teaforthree @ 18/1 ew Big Fella Thanks @ 40/1 ew On His Own was cruising when coming down at Bechers 2nd time round. One hurdle win in only run since , will go off a short price fav with Ruby on board. But the ground drys out quickly at Aintree , his wins on soft. Teaforthree ,was supposed to win the Welsh Grand National , but didn't. Big Fella Thanks already run in it 3 times. On 2 occasions has been galloping all over the field at the 3rd last , but has emptied out each time. Good luck with your choices. I think Sunnyhillboy will win a second Grand National for McCoy , all the connections will be hoping so for their now paralysed colleague J T Mcnamara. Cappa Bleu next best , 4th last year when it looked like they doubted his stamina , they won't now. Best outsiders Quiscover Fontaine , going well when falling on the 2nd circuit last year. Tatenen , think he could be the type to go well over this extreme test.

mikebOAFC
I've not put owt on yet but I'm thinking small e/w bets on Seabass, Teaforthree and Across The Bay. I've used my scientific method of one of the faves, one with odds in the teens and one at over 25/1.
pukka
Cappa Bleu - Backed at 20/1 a few weeks ago, now at 11/1. Will back another 2 on the day.

Just looking for an average and taking a punt on that as well as a few on e/w. Willy Hill paying put on first five.

There's usually around 40 start ( think that's the limit ) In recent years the number of finishers have been : 2012. - 15 2011. - 19 2010. - 14 2009. - 17 2008. - 15 Hope this helps. Thanks Steve, it has but Christ on a bike less than half for whatever reason! Also heard this morning that they are bringing the start line forward by 90 yards, apparently to give the horses and jockeys a bit more breathing space to settle the nerves. Not that I think it'll have any affect on the outcome.

Roger Ritchie
Had a sweepstake at work for the last horse to finish with a rider on it. Don't know anything about horse racing, much the same as everyone else.
jsslatic
Our sweepstake is 1st, 2nd and 8th. Drew Imperial Commander and Harry the Viking. I've picked my two with the best names - Teaforthree and the Italian sounding one. Edited April 5, 2013 by jsslatic
