Wouldn't surprise me if he was signed, he's had some good games against the Latics, most recently for Carlisle. Always struck me as having a stamina problem though. I think what we are saying is that players who think they deserve to be on 5k per week will hold out thinking a club will pay them... They price themselves out of the market and a day before pre season starts they haven't got a club and think, actually I liked what LJ said, im willing to take a grand a week... Yeah he certainly has the raw talent to be able to do those things but he needs to apply himself in the right way for 90mins He can win you a game but does have a tendancy I believe to go missing, he has all the attrubuites like strength, power, natural ability and vision to see things but its all about how far he wants to go imo. I saw a similar player we had in Jay Emmanuel-Thomas he had it all but what some what brain dead off the pitch and never really have the level of desire required. Although if even of the two of them became avaliable I would snap them up. The other in the group was Benik Afobe I remember when he came here with Hudds but didnt do a lot the day we battered them and won 1-0 of the lot I expect Aneke will go the furthest If we needed a right-back Nico-Yennaris who skippers the reserves is a great talent and can play in midfield as well, reminds me of K.Lee in his play Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Scapegoat Posted April 30, 2013 Share Posted April 30, 2013 Based on the improvement to Croft and Mellor from improved fitness and diet - perhaps we should be trying to find good but over weight footballers that can be LJ'd into better players (Croft did a chunk - word chosen purposely - of it pre-LJ though).
