Aaron Howarth
Yes happening today - looks like Grounds going to centre half and Mills to go left back
beag_teeets
To be fair I've thought Grounds has been below par this season (all three games of it). Maybe it is due to his quality debut season or even due to having marauding wingers in front of him not giving him cover but there appeared to be something lacking from him in the early games. A move to CB might do him a world of good and be a steadying influence on the team so good luck to him.
OAFC10
I like the idea of Grounds at CB, hes good in the air, good on the ball and decent pace.

lookersstandandy
....from a Saints fan I know.... Where Mills started out... "Yes, wished we'd never let him go. Small left back but v. good in his late teens for us. Given a proper chance I think he can be a good player. Definitely should great at League 1 level". If he's small I don't see how he'll play at CH like Mike Keegan has just tweeted....!
HarryBosch
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Mills He's played a decent amount of games in better sides than ours considering I've never heard of him. Good signing.
the_mighty_bosh
IIRC I saw him play for Southampton in League One, he played left wing looking pacy and tricky with the ball at his feet. Not much end product for a winger although if he plays full-back that won't be a concern. No idea how he'll be defensively though.
celliott83
Just read we have also put D Philliskirk on non contract terms so he is available also!

4froale
Just read we have also put D Philliskirk on non contract terms so he is available also! hope this is for cover as oppose to a potential replacement for baxter
oafc1955
Well we don't need striker cover, unless, like you say Baxter is on his way. He must be considering naming Philliskirk in the squad if he's signed non-contract terms, however, I also have a feeling that Wesolowski could well be shipped out during this window! flynnbrad
Very much needed I think, looked shaky at the back so far and leaked a few goals, going to be tough against a top strike force tomorrow, if we keep a clean sheet I think we will win because we have a decent front pairing of our own. DTM
Oh, and if Grounds plays CB it means we have two 6'1-ers in the centre at the back to cause a bit of havoc. Solid, clever managing I think. Here's hoping it transfers onto the grass.
Hands on
What we have here are a lot of ifs and buts and maybes. presumably Mellor is preferred at CB, having played LB, because he passes better and is stronger whereas Grounds is faster and in position. Now that Mellor is injured Grounds is preferred at CB because LJ couldn’t find a replacement CB but has found what appears to be a good replacement LB. Does it mean there is no CB lined up or does it mean there is. The signing of Philliskirk is even more intriguing. A striker who has yet to score in a senior game and who prefers the No 10 spot. Do we need another striker? Yes if Baxter is on his way!
DTM
Grounds has previously played CB, I think. This Mills chap seems to be listed as purely LB.
celliott83
If LJ has looked at the situation and seen that he cannot get a better cb than Grounds then I think it's a clever move getting a decent LB in. We also have nothing to lose bringing DP in on non contract terms, another body won't harm and playing under his Pops may give his career a boost?!? Again ifs and buts, but positive ones! oafcprozac
Another signing played regularly at a higher level with around 100 games under his belt.
opinions4u
Dickov-esque square pegs? When we lose 5-2 tomorrow having taken an impressive two goal lead I'll join the "son of Dickov" group you've founded. There are similarities!
