Simoncorneyisgod
I got 63 plus 9 stewards! Was a pretty awful game today but i really thought Crofty put a shift in and showed some nice touches and the new 'Big George' didn't put a foot wrong. saw a couple of stretcher bearers running towards the exit when Crofty went down in the 2nd half Edited April 23, 2016 by Simoncorneyisgod
welshgaz
We really forget what a good player Croft is. Even as a tank he's still a good player at this level.
yarddog73
His size is embarrassing, players who are privileged enough to be paid to play should be fined for being in that sort of shape, unacceptable from a paid pro and a senior one at that. Yeah but Kelly looked lean, fit and mobile but was absolutely :censored:e today!

mcfluff1985
But he played well so I'm not sure what the problem is? Some people love a moan. Don't see many moaning that gerrard should be fined. He's no lean guy

chris_ktf
I Like Croft. He always put a shift in. Never fault his effort. But he can't run, or keep the pace for any amount of time because he's to overweight. That's glaringly obvious. Shez couldn't run towards the end of his career, (for totally different reasons) but he could still dictate play, and control a game. Sometimes effortlessly. Croft isn't Shez. Time to say thanks and goodbye at the end of season IMO

Time to say thanks and goodbye at the end of season IMO I seem to remember Croft once saying he plays better with a bit of weight on? He was one of the few yesterday who could pass a ball accurately, for all their pace the 2 wing backs couldn't. Hands on
Played as if it was inevitable that we were going to win when clearly without Coleman returning to form we wouldn't.
yarddog73
Croft can pass a ball has good feet and to be fair was one of our better players yesterday but it's not professional to be lugging around that much timber, he would be more susceptible to injury for starters, aerobically he struggles and it just gives off the wrong message to allow yourself to get so out of shape during the season, let's not get too giddy about his performance yesterday it was against a piss poor Crewe who have about 2 points out of their last 30 and he had to be taken off in the second half because he was :censored:ed, no thanks. ShireBlue
He played well yesterday. I'd imagine he'd be much better though if he lost a couple of stone. Edited April 24, 2016 by ShireBlue

He was genuinely injured. Nothing to do with his weight. There's relevance to some of your other points but you spoiled it at the end! yarddog73
It says something when the only song Crewes 92 fans sang all day was 'You fat bastard' to Croft.

TheBigDog
It says their repertoire is more limited than the Athleticos. Athleticos were good yesterday given the poor standard of the on-field display.
Guest nonaenever
one of our best players on show at Fleetwood - and yesterday - so what's the issue? He will be the first to admit he needs to shed a stone - but, like the rest of us, he's probably been comfort eating over the last few stressful months ! ChaddySmoker
He played well yesterday. I'd imagine he'd be much better though if he lost a couple of stone. When Vic 'King of all Geordies' Halom played for us he lost 2 stone pre-season under orders from the club and he was crap. Once he put the 2 stones back on he was brilliant for us. His Hatrick against Carlisle in the televised game when his man boobs were on the goal line whilst standing on the edge of the penalty area was sublime
