Looking for numbers taken/scored/missed. Maurice Whittle and Lee Richardson would have had pretty decent records I think and didn't Andy Liddell take quite a few? That little shimmy to sell the keeper just before he shot.. magic. 12 year old me was absolutely heartbroken when he left Latics the summer we went down. Forte before Kelly took over Pawel Abbott scored enough to result in him getting his own OWTB law Redfearn - he scored "4 penalties already, 5 penalties this season" (plus one more) - in 90/91 Shez? Lee Sinnott Posted June 29, 2016 Share Posted June 29, 2016 Pretty sure Sheridan never missed a penalty for us. We were awarded quite a few at the start of 03/04 when he came put of retirement. I don't think Liddell ever missed one in his whole career. Liam Kelly (officially) missed one against Port Vale this season but scrambled the rebound in, even though it looked like it would go in anyway after the keepers initial save... This was on another thread recently. It was Etheridge who missed. Accrington, morecambe, Carlisle X 2 and Chesterfield are, I think, our shootout defeats. As much as loved him I wanted to kill him for that penalty (all forgiven like a few weeks later). Not just for the dross effort but also that he attempted it. Not just in the context of the match but also the season as we made our usual slide down the league to what looked potential relegation.
