  1. Thought Charles Dunne showed promise at times, he was too much of a sick note though.
  2. There's a post on Twitter with ex-Latics players currently with Championship clubs out of contract this summer, it includes: Jon Grounds Kieron Lee Matt Palmer Johnson Clark-Harris wages would certainly be an issue now, but you never know, they might get desperate as pre-season training gets closer!
  3. Cheers, I go to London fairly regularly, can't believe I've not picked up on this!!
  4. Tell me more, how does that work? Do you just present it at the barrier or something?
  5. We played Blackburn at home on Good Friday in 1988, but it wasn't an evening game. A certain Mike Cecere scored a hat-trick, hence the user name
  6. I suppose being pretty much in the middle of the country no away game is further than about 2 hours drive, it may go someway to explaining it. Impressive all the same though
  7. There was a bit of trouble on Hilbre Avenue after the match as well which will start to spice things up a bit
  8. Shame Rochdale didn't travel again, it could have been a really decent crowd with the increased home support today
  9. Christ, I can't cope with all this positivity on OWTB
  10. For the first time since I've been eligible to vote in a general election it's unlikely that I'll be voting. I don't want any of them running the country.
  11. Rick Holden was studying to be a physio, and became one once his playing days were over
  12. Home kit decent, away kit shit.... where's the tangerine?
  13. I can't believe somebody missed the mighty Fleetwood at home to go to the Masters
  14. We have history with Latics supporting American girls
  15. There are plenty of people on here who claim to support Latics but don't actually go as well☺
  16. It won't count, they'll still be in the middle of a 36 year unbeaten run even after last night with him in charge
  17. Great news. He displayed a burst of pace on Saturday that a player 10 years younger would have been proud of
  18. I get married on Friday and it's cost an arm, a leg and my sanity. I'm working in London this week up until the wedding and it's just another of the million things I need to do between now and then. I know I've had a while to sort it out (that's my fault) and haven't, but my plan was to let my finances recover and purchase later on in the close season, especially after getting my fingers burned this time last year. I've had season tickets on and off for the last 30 years, but it now looks like I'll be back to picking and choosing games next season. That's good news for the rest of you though, it means it's going to be a decent one.
  19. I've got no chance of renewing before April 1st and I'm not paying full whack so there's 3 less season tickets for a start.
  20. Can't see us getting 10 more points, though I think we'll do enough to survive. Other teams are in far poorer form than us
  21. Rochdale don't seem to have as much armchair support as we do. You can see this by the low numbers they come to BP with, they don't all come out of the woodwork for a local away like we do. Based on this, I don't think this initiative (whilst it's commendable) will be a massive success for them. I wish our chairman would try a similar thing though just to see what would happen in terms of tempting a few back!
  22. No mention of the winding up petition though was there haha
  23. Very impressed with that! Very professionally produced in my opinion
