Wasn't the reason it was a Friday night last time because of Everton taking the Saturday afternoon slot an Liverpool didn't (or couldn't) play on the Sunday as they had a game on the Tuesday night, league cup semi final i think, so it had to be on the Friday?

Well with a stat like that and our current good form it has Mansfield 1-0 last minute all over it!

Felt the atmosphere was decent today, not necessarily for the singing but there was a good edge to the game. Think the Bradford fans were the louder (when they did sing as they went quiet for large portions of the game) but that would be down to the RRE sounding much better and the Chaddy being crap for sound. I believe people that say it was loud in the Chaddy but I didn't hear much up in the Main stand upper.

Having never really written anything for something like this before i wouldn't know where to start. If people suggest some topics for writing it would provide some decent inspiration. Equally is there going to be a structured layout of the fanzine? Off the top of my head we could have pieces on away days, funny stories of time spent watching or beacuse of following Latics, opinion pieces on Latics or football in general. Also for me what is essential to one of these things is humour. Thats one of the things i remember most about BTB. Maybe get Pine Villians to contribute some of their stuff (if they are willing) alongside any others who would like a crack at being funny? One comedey aspect of BTB i liked was the pictures (of the games or usually something else) with humorous captions so maybe this can be replicated?

England to be drawn in a group with Egypt (they're there well.... because), Mexico and Argentina. Egypt game to be a boring 0-0 draw. Get dicked off Mexico 4-0. Beat the Argies 1-0 to sneak through an gallantly go out in the semis to Brazil. All done while our captain has been arrested for fighting alongside England fans against local police and Assistant manager sacked after 2nd game for altercation with manager. Oh and i vote the usual England official song to be sung by the players and Atomic Kitten to the tune of "Its on me 'ed son, not off me 'ed son!!"

Id be very interested in writing some articles and contributing. Are we able to do so under a different name/user name?

Just discussing with my dad, is there potential for this to be played on the FA cup 2nd round date? If we dont go through this Tuesday an if Chesterfield have been knocked out there should be a free date there?

Have absolutely no clue about music but at uni my mates loved a band called Milburn from Sheffield. I quite like their music myself and am surprised they didnt break out as they had some catchy tunes. At 53 degrees in Preston (our uni) my mates saw them with the Arctic Monkeys as a support act! Apparently jacked in a few years back as they didnt feel they was recognised by the music industry. If you get chance check em out on youtube.

I feel the atmosphere generated by English fans when in full flow an the right conditions is unbeatable. As good as the German/eastern european/ultras stuff is its all abit forced imo. Lacks soul.

Shocking BBC highlights. Not been to the game but after hearing from a number of neutrals an the Bristol fans we had by far the better of the first half and even the game. Only for the BBC to then comment in the build up to the goal that Bristol were on top in the 1st half an then made it sound as if our goal was an against the run of play equaliser. To top it off and contradict themselves they have O'Driscoll on who says we were the better side and thats the worst they have played this season. It shouldn't bother me but it does ha do they have a commentator at these games?

If I remember rightly I think Rugrats was played when the opposition team came back on the field after half time. We used to get Thin Lizzy - The boys are back in town when we came back out.

It's weird, I went on a booze bus, had a walk through Rotherham town centre and eventually found the Bridge Inn. Didn't leave the pub till gone late but didn't feel any harrassment off the police. Not saying you didn't and you are rightly pissed off. Just funny how none of me an my mates noticed. Probably too pissed ha!

I would agree with the top post that it is a little more confusing watching Union, not that it stops me. I just still can't figure out the rucking/mauling aspect, who has possession in it, why they sometimes chuck loads of blokes into it and don't get the ball and other times hardly anyone goes in and they come up with possession. Also at the scrum with the binding of the arms etc it just seems open to too much interpetation as not even the analysts on tv can seem to know what is happening.

I like both but if i had to make a choice then League.

What an absolute nonsense of a story! I don't get our media it always seems to be right before a major tournament they go digging for something possibly wrong in or with individuals in the England side (badly behaved players etc.). Don't get me wrong if there is something serious that needs reporting then report but it just feels needless and can unsettle our side slightly right before a big tournament for no reason. Pretty sure they have made a big song and dance over non-news such as some players private lives in the past (player x is cheating on player y's wife). Wankers.

Just getting into NHL this season. Always been a fan but have struggled finding it regular on tele somewhere. The last I saw it regular was when I would come in pissed up from a student night out and the game would be on in the early morning on Channel 5. After going America early this year and seeing it regularly on the tele while there it's given me the hunger back to watch regular again and i've now signed up to Premier Sports and seen it fairly regular since the beginning of the season. Not got a team yet (don't know whether to remain neutral or not) but i'm geussing off this thread don't go for the Devils? ha Not figured out who the supposed good players are yet but i'm hoping that will evenutally come with watching it over the course of the season! I'm geussing Patrick Kane at the Blackhawks is one of the main guys from what i have seen so far? Saw what i thought was a class goal the other night too, a guy for San Jose against the Rangers i think? He flicked it back between his legs in the process of skating past the keeper diagonally the hit it up past the keepers far side. It looked good anyway! On a side note i went to a couple of Storm games when i was about 10-11 (i think) and they had a fair few going and remember getting the train down from Mumps into Victoria. Shame it all went tits up, why did Hockey over here suffer so badly? If i remember correctly there was crowds of +15k in Manchester and yet i notice now with the Phoenix they are around 1.5k. What happened? It does make me think of taking in a few Phoenix games at some point to give them some support.

You could try contacting any 8 championship clubs directly and see if they could send you what you need? At least they might scan you a copy of the back of a ticket?
