Rely on QUALITY!!!!!!!!! what bloody QUALITY!!!! Our flying wingers are wingers by name only and haven't put in 10 decent crosses between them all flamin season. Pav is a very decent target man and but for his goals we would be down already............This is without doubt, a relegation squad!!!

With the uncertainty that the new stadium will even be built at all, it's a little strange that the meeting with Manchester City Council is even taking place don't you think? To spend all that money on the plans and the Bae land purchase before getting a green light for the development would be plain crazy........ I think club officials know a bit more than they're letting on!!!

I cannot believe that TTA and the council didn't overcome/know about this obstacle in the begining as several million pounds has been spent already on stadium plans and the purchase of the Bae land. If the whole scheme is once again halted, this time by the Charity Commision then we are fooked....even if we were to get the go ahead it could hold up everything for years and a lengthy court case is not what we want!!! If TTA were to throw in the towel who could blame them.............This football club is cursed!!!!

Perhaps we could try and get one or two asian players into the squad..........I'm sure there are a few asian players with potential at schools in the Oldham area. Perhaps we could send a scout/coach into the Asian community schools and offer trials to lads with potential. Didn't the club embark on a close season tour to the Indian continent a couple of years ago, surely contacts/connections were established....I'm sure It would only take the addition of a couple of asian players into the squad to create a little interest within our ethnic community.

It's the style of football and lack of goals that's driving people away....we should be marketing/promoting the club when the team is performing well and near the top of the division not when struggling near the bottom!!!! Today's game was a little better than of late but still very ordinary and devoid of goals....after getting in for a fiver today, who is going to come back next week and pay £20!!!!!

Would love us to sign Whaley because as well as being a threat in front of goal he's a true winger and I think he would deliver the ammo for Price and Abbott. I fear it will only happen if we can offload Smalley/Whittaker or a n others on loan somewhere. Whittaker is a div 2 player at best and has no future here if we want to improve...... Smalley was a revelation when he first came into the side and had he continued to improve he/we could have been in the championship.....He's not that 'young kid' anymore and should be one of our key players........I've watched him week in week out and his overall contribution to this team is woeful and it's time to part company.........he's decent in the air and has a bit of pace apart from that I think he's bobbins!!!!

I make it 11 from 45 league games!

'who knows what could happen were we to hit someone for five'? The last time we scored more than 2 goals in a league game was almost a year ago on February 28th 2009 when we scored 3 at Millwall!!!

Do you reckon???? It's taken us 27 games to secure just 7 wins and we now have only 19 games left....looking at the fixture list, realistically, 2 or 3 points is all we can hope for from away games at Colchester, Leeds, Southampton, Huddersfield, and M K Dons and the home games against Norwich and Charlton. That means we may require 6 wins and a couple of draws from the remaining 12 starting with Walsall on Saturday. The others are Exeter, Stockport, Carlisle and Yeovil away, and Leyton O, Wycombe, Brighton, Brentford, Gillingham, Bristol Rov and Southend at home. Under normal circumstances 6 wins should be possible from those remaining home games......but these are not normal circumstances and we have managed just 3 from the opening 13!!! Every one of those teams could be battling against relegation come May. The month of March is absolutely crucial and unless there is a dramatic turnaround in our home form I can honestly see us going down!!!!

I think it's the best we could have hoped for and TTA should be applauded, it is certainly not a run of the mill stadium. We would all like to have the corners filled in but realistically we have to put a football team out on the pitch that is capable of championship football in order to progress further. If we can get a successful side playing decent football in the division above then that for me will be success.......it may take 2,3,5 years, or even longer to achieve but if we can make steady progress on the field and build the fan base at least we know we have the potential to expand and unless we were to get in the premiership 16,000 will be more than enough. If we can't get a team to deliver then non of the rest will really matter!!!!

Even premiership clubs have games postponed due to heavy snow..........undersoil heating will enable games like Brentford to go ahead during severe frost which is the most common factor during our normal winter.

Surely they could play it tomorrow couldn't they???

Apparently they are currently removing surface water with sponge rollers.... with no more rain forecast for this afternoon and tonight they have 4 hours to sort it..........it probably comes down to how badly they want it played!!

I don't think Flahaven would have come to play second fiddle and It wouldn't surprise me at all to see Brill relegated to the subs bench tomorrow night. Brill should keep his place, he hasn't had much to do but what he has done has been ok. We shall see!!

For the initial month of the loan he played very well and we were happy when he was given a contract. Since then he has been pisspoor at best. Hopefully now he has a point to prove his performance will up a gear. Good luck cheers

Looks like that's it for today..... there's nothing on the O.S. to suggest we are chasing others. Goodwin and Price...is it enough?
