Ackey
Pawel Abbott's 8th of the season gives Latics a vital win in Merseyside and moves the side out of the bottom four.
opinions4u
Only 20 points off the play-offs, with a game in hand. Important win. Hopefully we can build a little confidence on the back of it now.
ThaiLatic
Fantastic win!! I'm celebrating with a can of Boddingtons.
mattyg101
Looking more to the sides immediately around us, we have 4 games in hand on some teams and need to win them. Not sure if there are any 6 pointers coming up but the next few weeks are going to make or break us.
the_mighty_bosh
Please lets make this the pivotal win in our season! If we get on a good run of form before the games in hand run out we could be well away from the drop zone!

Gentleman
Don't have a clue how we played but I'm delighted with a win. Let's get some points on the board now and get this god awful season behind us.
beag_teeets
Don't have a clue how we played but I'm delighted with a win. Let's get some points on the board now and get this god awful season behind us. At this moment and for the next 10 games or so, the way we play isn't important, the results are. As long as we are winning and climbing the table we're ok.

Scapegoat
Wonderful result, and from the sounds of the (albeit biased) Latics Plater commentry we deserved it. Another clean sheet (which given the clown like defending at the end of last season and the start of this DP should take credit for) and a goal for Abbot (where would we be if he hadn't been out injured). Leyton Orient are 11th on 36 points, 6 points ahead of us and having played 3 more games. Its easy to get down after bad results and high afer good ones, but we are a few extra goals away from being a comfortable mid-table team this season. oafc-latics
great win but we really need to follow it up with a positive result at swindon. just heard a fan on radio manc and they said the club showed togetherness to get the result. lets build on this and get further up the table. oafc-latics
As always, we get one win and everyone gets carried away... id prefer that to most of the usual negative stuff. and it sounds like brill had a solid game and saved us in the last minute
edhunteruk
thats the spirit..... although not wanting to get carried away,1 win doesnt make or break a season,it is still a very good win and 3 points away from home, and will provide the team with a physcologic boost that we are now out of the bottom 4. the team need to build on this result and move away from the danger zone well done to the team....sorry to those who wanted a loss, penny is staying. Stevie_J
Important win and nice to climb out of the bottom four, but I'll not be getting carried away. We've got a tough run of congested fixtures coming and one win against a team as **** as us isn't enough to convince me we'll avoid relegation. outoftheblue
well done to the team....sorry to those who wanted a loss, penny is staying. Surely no-one wanted a loss? Regardless of whether anyone believes Penney is a failure, no Latics fan would want them to lose such an important game? Jesus. Relegation surely would be the end of us.
