Difficult - I can't see Brian Wilson not starting.

is Elokobi fit enough? If he is would he start at LB instead of Mills. Surely Mills starts, somewhere?

Forte on the wing or upfront? Again, is he match for? Is Philliskirk?

I wonder if he'll prefer a 4-4-2 after his comments last week.

Complete guesswork. No idea if he'd try that.

4-1-4-1 for me, with the flexabilty to change to a 3-5-2 or 4-3-3 depanding on match circumstances.

One good thing about the squad this season is that we are not short of options to change formation or style of play either from the bench or starting XI.

Colcheter are expected to line up with a 4-2-3-1, so I reckon we'll go 4-1-4-1 so as not to be over-run in midfield.

Dayton Forte
           Clarke-Harris

And we can always change it if it's not quite right.

I would not be at all surprised to see Brown, Elokobi, Winchester, Philliskirk start either. Competition for places!

Not too sure how he'll go; but gut says 4-1-4-1 as per the end of last season.

As to how he goes player wise, again, not too sure how he goes there either but IMO, the likes of Winchester and Dayton would be hard to not include after decent pre-seasons.

....if he's going 4-1-4-1 that's how i'd hope he'd go.

I'll have a stab at it and think he'll go for as much experience and flexibility as possible. It's hard to pick a starting 11 mind and I'm not sure even what formation I've put them in.

5-2-3? 5-4-1? 5-2-2-1? 3-4-3? 3-4-2-1? It's years since I played champ man.

Got a feeling it will be the same team that was when he changed tactics against Huddersfield.

Always tough pre season but this year there are many options available and I doubt anyone will get the starting XI correct. I just hope Johnson knows his ideal 11 as the last 10 games of last season proved that a settled team leads to promotion form.

My shout would be:

GK: Rachubka

CB's: Wilson --- Elokobi --- WIlson

RB / Attacking option if required: Brown

LB / Attacking option if required: Mills

Mid: Jones, Kelly, Forte (switch positions as per strengths etc)

Att: Philliskirk & JCH

Bench:
Coleman
Lockwood
Kusunga

Dayton
Winchester
Gros
