We are miles away, scored more than one goal in a match twice in the last 25, think Forte has only got 5 in that time.

Midfield is horribly imbalanced when Kelly doesn't play.

And defending - especially set pieces.

Lack of height, pace and power throughout the squad.

And that's before you get onto the management and tactics.

I think we've got all these elements in the squad, the manager just hasn't picked a dynamic team since the second half at Walsall.

We've been desperately slow in the past few weeks, which is why I've called for Poleon to get a run-out. And as much as the manager has harked on about it, it's true that Cassidy added a totally different dimension and we miss him a lot.

Pretty much that

Well I suppose I should have gone if I wanted to know what was said but assume the lack of content in the posts reflects that nothing new was said. We are still waiting for that click and play one or three up front or even eight if you count corners!

Somebody came up with a stat about the opposition and their shots on goal so far this season compared to ours. DK was talking about getting the midfielders to act as the 2nd & 3rd attackers and stop looking over their shoulders worrying about defending and the shots would come. time will tell.

Problem is they usually look sideways, perhaps we could fit them with blinkers.

Great to listen to a real football manager, a coach and football specialist, rather than a PC football manager who presses a button when he needs to pick a footballer!!

At the start of last season I heard comments of how ':censored:' Liam Kelly and Mike Jones were, I'm seeing and hearing the same about our manager.

Poor, Ill-informed short term judgement - stop the criticism and give him your support. I thought many of the questions aimed at Darren last night were both thoughtless, not needed and provoking a response, rather than projecting and supporting the manager of our football club. Not once did I hear our 'off the field' grafters back and support our manager in a positive manner...sometimes the small things are the ones that count!!

As for questioning him about Barry Owen???? Ridiculous!

Welcome back FB!!???

Not all obviously, but some yes!!

An almost unwelcoming, negative tone to a number of questions that does nobody any good in the end.

I actually thought it could have been a lot worse, and the manager knowing he's was going to come in for a bit of grief, handled it really well.

At least he has the nads to to show up and I believe some may have warmed to him, how long that lasts is another matter.

And I thought I was most welcoming at the door collecting ticket with my bucket too....it's not often I smile you know. Ha

Very few teams play a 4 4 2 system these days purely because you will be over run in midfield.

Playing one upfront has never been the problem for our existing manager & previous managers, it is not what you do on the ball, it is the movement and runs the players do off the ball which in turn then dictates what you do on the ball.

So therefore when being coached the players surely are being told to stay in certain areas of the field and not encouraged to take risks as DK eluded to in the meeting, otherwise we would see a lot more fluidity of movement, midfielders getting beyond and beside our centre forward, getting on the end of our link up play from our wide players who are getting good quality crosses in the box, if this was occurring i do not believe we would be focusing on our results as we are now because we are being entertained?

One thing i found astonishing from the meeting was the question the watering of the pitch, DK talked about all the preparation all week leading to the game sports science, analysis, team formation & tactics etc, yet DK does not liaise with groundsman to ensure it is exactly how he wants it, furthermore DK then went on to say he does not know as a result of the pitch being watered & players slipping as a result of this as to whether it leads to players injuries, i find this to bamboozling to say the very least.

Lets have a win today DK.

I actually asked the pitch question.....was starting to feel after futchers comments that maybe it was not worthy question...thanks for mentioning it though

Kelly said he thought the pitch was in good condition....maybe it's me as I am sure it's looking a bit bald down the "bombing area" of the RRE and looks like it's been spray painted. I'll give it good stare again today.

You might be right about bomb alley. I noticed it was bare during a pre season game.

I tweeted about this and got a short shrift reply..after that the area was all green again.
